So I reformatted my M15X last night, I like to do it at least once a year to keep my laptop running quickly, plus I have to install some pretty intensive software for University and I want it as quick as possible.

Anyway, I'm having an issue with this one driver, the ever illusive Ethernet Controller under the Other Devices menu.

I thought I installed all of the neccessary drivers, but I had one too many glasses of wine last night whilst waiting for it to format (I forgot how long it can take), so I can't remember the full list of drivers I installed.

Is there anyway I can find out what driver I need?

    Thanks.

It should be the Intel Gigabit LAN network drivers

The only drivers you need to install (afair) after a format is:

    Gigabit Ethernet
    5-in-1 card reader
    Free fall sensor
    Graphics Card

The rest will be provided by Windows 7 on it's own accord.

Use 7zip to extract to a folder yourself, then go in and click the setup file.

I did that, rebooted and now there's another driver missing lol. Apparently an "Unknown Device" under the USB hub controllers. It also didn't fix the ethernet controller driver :(.
