    Hi all,

So I have an old M15x sitting around. Has a gtx 460m in it. Don't remember what CPU. Spent $1700 on it at the time. Works great. I got an AW17 because I was having problems with the old one. There would be green "mist" over any black pixels on the screen. I determined it wasn't an LCD issue, so it must but hardware but I never figured out what exactly. Sometimes the mist would disappear for a few weeks then come back. Regardless, I couldn't rely on it for work. So now it's just sitting around. I don't want to throw it in the trash, I know there's some components in it that could be sold. I remember Dell having a trade in program a while back. I could get like $300 to spend in the dell store or something. I tried talking to their customer service but as always they are always so unhelpful. Anyone know what I can do to not just let this thing end up in the trash?
    Thanks!

I'd be interested as well :D... you could try listing it on marketplace here, or perhaps ebay, but there you will have additional fees.

Yep, as above keep it and drop a new card into it, or sell it as it. I have been looking at ebay myself for the "right one" to add to my collection.

Thanks for the suggestion guys. The green pixel issue is not a GPU problem though, I tried switching it out for another back when I was working on it to no avail. So I think it might be the motherboard but I'm not certain.
But I guess I'll put it up on the NBR sales forum.

    Hey dude,

check out this thread i just made, http://forum.notebookreview.com/threads/problem-with-m15x-screen-i-think.772302/

Similar problems to yours although mine is a red "mist" over black backgrounds. I think i have pretty much determined that it is not a GPU problem. Just waiting for a few replies in the thread i created to get verification and then i will order a new screen and see if that fixes the problem.
