    Where to get 970M or 980M in Europe / UK?

    I already posted this in tech inferno but maybe I can also get some visibility here.

    I'm looking to buy a 970m or 980m but I see very little or no choice to get it online from an European seller to avoid taxes? Laptopmonkey, HIDevolution or RJtech are all based outside Europe.

    Any other sellers that you know?

    PC Specialist, Scan, Schenker all don't sell the GPU on the own.. I found this out while trying to get a 970M..

    They added VAT, and it is about 325€ but it is still very good price with todays exchange rate. It is only the card (not an upgrade kit).
    Available are GTX780M 4GB, GTX880M 8GB, GTX965M 4GB, GTX970M 6GB, GTX980M 8GB. Don't know the prices because I asked only for 970m.

    It is a good price.

    Is very difficult to find something below 400.

    I really want to upgrade the gpu and ram and sdd of this machine :) waiting on next mobile gen to see if they are compatible for biggest jump in performance possible!

    I wonder if next gen will be all soldered??? Would love to see some 14/16nm mxm cards flying around but I can see top tier nvidia mobile pascal card costing the same as an entire gaming rig!!!

    FYI: 970M from Dachau is in and working great. Standard driver from nvidia, no modded inf, like a charm, phantastic. Took 15 min, lol :p

    A few days ago I received the card and everything went very well. Perfect packaging, very correct attention and dialogue. Highly recommend these guys work very well.

    Coming from GTX260M is a big upgrade. Everything works just as well, even better. Lower temperatures.

    The only bad time was that the x-bracket is clevo and have that replace the original GTX260M but have patience and dedicate a little affection.
    Once done, it's all very fast.

    Flashed vbios and significantly increased the score. Now I have an outstanding debt with svl7.

    100%. The most complicated was suprisingly the replacing of the x-bracket. Used my wife's hairdryer secretly, worked well, lol.

    You're running your 7970M at quite the undervolt/downclock. You could easily get 10-15% more performance simply by overclocking that bad boy. Consider doing a cooling mod and up those volts?

    Yeh its not exactly good value for money. If the 970M would be around £150 - €210, that would be good value. Right now you're still paying over the top for "new" technology. I think it'll still be worth the upgrade next year when prices hopefully come down.

    Just asked Nexoc for a quote on GTX 970M. €374 including delivery! That seems to be more a less what it was when I asked a year ago! No price decrease at all!
    The quote does say €303 but that is before tax!
