they might fix it so it's worth the time to call them. If not you may need to search ebay for a new mobo. :(

You can buy extend warranty from dell :D
Warranty costs munch cheaper than the cost of new mobo.
If you buy extend warranty from dell for your m15x, they will replace your mobo without fee.

Not neccesarily. All they have to do is make a "reasonable" attempt to let you know not to use the command center disk. If you use it after they have done this they are not obligated to do it. Most likely they will anyway just because they tend to help in situations like that. It's bad PR to leave a customer high and dry.... Unfortunatly, since the dell take over they seem to be doing that a little more.

Doubtful. I have given them extremely poor references in regards to their surveys, Like disgustingly poor i've talked to a few managers about the experience i've had with them. In the first week receiving my laptop I spent 20 hours on the phone with them.

They still phone me and after explaining how I never want to purchase anything from them again, (when they try to re-sell me warranty) they say "okay, I understand" followed with "Have you heard of our new dell tv's?"

    Best of luck to you!
