    Guys,

My motherboard just died while playing a game and I was wondering if Dell will send me a replacement motherboard that I can install myself? I don't want the Dell technician who works in my town to touch my laptop since he messed up my old Dell XPS when replacing the screen.

Do you know if Dell can just send me the replacement motherboard?

I kinda doubt but you can always call and ask them.
Also while I heard of people receiving GPUs, CPUs, memory etc. to be installed by themselves for some reason, Dell doesn't consider motherboards, screen assembly(probably more) as user serviceable parts.
If they don't agree with sending you the parts , just make sure the tech doesn't mess anything; and even in the sad case when he does you can always call back and complain.

Make sure everything is in working order BEFORE he leaves.
