I can do what ever I want with XP

    I create 3D units for ETW/NTW/ ShogunTW2

I really don't feel comfortable with Big Brother always upon my shoulder ; Security control all the time even if I lower the settings at 0

    I enjoy XP very much ; I don't need Direct X10 ;

I will keep Windows7 in a small place upon the HDD

But I need to have a XP environnement as a workspace
for Milkshape ; Uu3d ; all those soft I am using to mod the game

    Can you help me ?

Okay, I was just curious. Seems you already found the thread with the description, I posted some links to the disassembly procedure as it seems that you need to remove the optical drive.

Well they don't exactly expect people to use obsolete operating systems.

Simple, just go into the BIOS and set the hard disk to autodetect AHCP. This is an issue with all newer boards trying to install XP on. If you don't it will give that error everytime.

I said hard disk but it's actually the CD drive. You may have to run the install from an external and turn off the SATA port that the CD drive is hooked up to if you can't change the AHCP setting for it in the BIOS.

    I'm a little confuse here :

Just explain : in the Bios Advanced TAB

    - SATA Hard DRIVE : is Switched to AUTO

    Options are - USER ; NONE ; CD-ROM ; ATAPI Removable ; Other ATAPI

SATA Optical Drive ( PLDS DVD+/-RW) : is switched to AUTO

Options are the same -NONE ; USER ; CD_ROM ; ATAPI Removable ; Other AtaPI

    Can you help ; please

To me, just using a VM for XP would make more sense for your needs; that's what I did for the NWN2 toolset.

There's no "big brother" in Win7.
