I have tried literally everything, from removing the old drivers to using a program to sweep them, and then when i finally get to the pnp vga it wont even let me install the new ones i have, i have tried pretty much every catalyst and for some reason, the driver never shows up on gpuz and also on sapphire trixx.. I don't know what to do at this point. Linux recognizes my video card, it even boots it in 1080p while windows doesn't even try.

Have you tried to reinstall Windows?

I would check and make sure the bios sees the card (I expect it does, since Linux seems to find it. If Win sees it as pnp VGA, then you may have a problem with the drivers - make sure you have the right ones, and verify that the inf is correct. Since the 5850 series was (I think) a legit Alienware card, you might check the Dell site to see if they have a driver for the card. If you can get that to work, then you could try updating. I'm always reluctant to reinstall Windows just because I have a lot of programs that would have to be reinstalled. However, you might try a repair install.
    Best,
