Today I replaced my Intel i3 340M dual core processor to a i7 740QM quad core in my Alienware M15x.. Everything was done correctly an about 30 mins after I had finished the replacement process I was using my pc normally an it randomly just shut down an will not turn on at all or even take a charge. My computer just seems to not be getting any power at all cause the alien heads on the front an inside wont light up only sign I saw of power was the battery blinked ONCE 3 out of 5 blue dots lit up ! which means it has power I think.. My AC adapter light is broken on the end but it still charges it.. So I cannot tell if that's working or if its my computer that just wont turn on.. I've also tried to do the reset were you take out the battery pack an hold down the alien power button..

It's kind of odd though that my PC just randomly shut off during normal use an never turned back on or took a charge. cause it seems to be dead. Everything seemed to have worked fine from the upgrade I made too! but I read that the motherboard might be dead but hopefully that's not the case.

please an thank you to whoever try to help !
