My new mobo came with a08. Curious, but I thought a08 was a good bios. Whats so different between a09 and ao8?

A couple of bugfixes. Usually manufacturers don't just release an update for no reason ;)

Still updating the bios is always a risky move.

The w input was pissing me off. Decided to flash to 09, I would also once in awhile get this shutter. The flash seems to have fixed that aswell.

To solve that, just update the OSD software.

the bios update checks for corruption afaik and with a battery, at least you know you're safe from a power outage... even if the risk is small.

i'm reluctant to flash within windows and if there is no other option, make sure you're not doing anything on the laptop while flashing... the last thing you want is for it to crash half way through the update.
