    Well it start with when i trying to overwrite the sub vendor and card id to an 5870,i tot i using a 5850m bios to edit that,could just change the name as 5870m,well....now i have prove myself wrong and the gpu is dead
    i've called dell to come tmr,but wt shud i tell the tech?
    shud i just say i dun know y ,it suddenly dead
    or
    shud i say i try to upgrade dell's vbios and it fail,then dead
    please advice :(

    I would just tell him the card died. Say you were in the middle of playing a game and it died. If you have no image and the card truly is dead, he has no way to check if it was a error of bios flashing. He should not care too much anyways. I imagine he will just claim it a faulty card.

    I can probably fix it. I can send you a new chip with a proper VBIOS on it, but you'd need to desolder the chip on your card and solder back the new chip, or you send me the card and I do the whole procedure. It's not completely free though.

    Edit: Does your system still POST or not? You might be able to blind flash it.

    @sv thx man,if dell wont change it for me or charge me an unreasonable price,maybe i'll buy one chip from u,but i asked my frd to disolder it 4me yst
    he said he couldn't program my chip,cant write into it at all. He said maybe the chip is dead?but i did nth but only changing the card id to 5870 and that's it,or maybe the programmer he used didnt support that chip?i dk this kinda thing XD
