    can i update my gtx260m with nvidia drivers?

    280.26 to be exact.. would my gtx260m run fine on this driver as the dell driver is so old??

    Right so get the nvidia driver, during the installation, there will be an option to choose advanced, then check the Clean Install option. That will completely update your driver. You only need the Display driver, and Physx, the rest is all useless.

    thanks, just installed the new driver.. games and everything seems to run a little bit slower.. whay would that be? i mean very little but slower.. with the old drivers i can run black ops with max settings fine, new driver runs fine but lags like 5% more.. is it a placebo effect or the new drivers could cause it to be slower??

    Drivers are odd like that, sometimes the newer one's don't perform as well in some games. If it really bothers you, go back to the Dell one. I usually have 3 sets of drivers on hand so I can find the best one for my machine.
