as the last thread i post about the bricked 5850
dell did replaced the card for me but sth much more terrible happened .
The tech's almost destroying my laptop, there were 2tech came to fix my laptop, the 1st tech was very pro,he changed my mobo within 5minutes......i tried to dismount the machine be4,but it took me at least 1hr to do that step, that guy took 5 and very good service.
But dell didnt give him the parts he need so at last i needa wait one more day for my laptop.
Then the nightmare began, the 2nd tech is completely noob to hardware i can say, i have to teach him how to dismount the card....christ....and he wouldnt listen to me and follow his own step ...then he broke my touch panel, i dun know wt he did ,he also broke the soldered socket on it, and he use the wrong screws to put it back and finally he made 2hole on my laptop.

now i hv sum question....my laptop dun hv complete care which means they will not replace it with a new laptop for this warranty .But that based on my own use, right? So is it possible to ask them replace it for me as their tech did so much damage to my laptop?

Sorry to hear this... this really sucks. Dell doesn't have to replace your system, they only have to fix it, so that's in the same condition as before (plus fixing the stuff which was broken in the first place of course).
They might decide to give you a replacement M15x, but it's also possible that they simply send someone to replace all the damaged parts... it's up to Dell.

They will have to fix it or replace it, although not necessarily with a brand new one. Just report what happened and request further repair. Sorry, rotten luck.
