Does anybody know what the max rpm of the gpu fan is? I thought it was about 4500, but from hwinfo I see I can manually set it at way more than that. I tried setting it a 5000 and it works, so my question is, what's the limit for it? Could it be fried or damaged from a too high rpm setting?

I think the max is around 5200-5400 rpms. Would you fry anything, doubt it. Worst case scenario you could just have an issue with the fan. Like anything, pushing something to run at max wouldn't be advisable and wears it down quicker or makes it go bust.

About 5000, increasing it to anything beyond that using hwinfo has no effect.
