    hi can any one on here give me a list of what i need to upgrade my m15x gtx 260m to a gtx 680m and also if possible were to buy said materials from apart from ebay.

    Thermal pads, best from frozen cpu (fujipoly ones) most people didn't have luck in ebay as they were not as advertised and some thermal grease like IC diamond/AS 5/MX - 4. Any of the three is fine. Also get both 1mm and 0.5 mm pads.

    that I do not know but they are really cheap so having a spare is a good option. Also from one of threads in the past I believe, either slv7 or Mexic00ls. They have tried with the same card. They would have more insight. Good luck with your upgrade!

    The 680m will work , but will throttle just like the 7970m. Flashing the vbios with a lower voltage one should help on the throttling.
