    like the title says. i ordered a gtx 770m from ebay and it does have the back plate. is it a requirement? it can i just put some thermal pad there. as far as i know its only cooling the VRAM i know some desktop 770's dont even have the back plate for the ram on the back. :p

    770M?for what price?you know how to replace gpu in laptop?I was always wondering can i exchange my 760M in later stages maybe for a 780M

    You should just be able to mount it with the current heatsink, from looking at the card design anyways. Always do a test mount to check core contact.
