Well I was about ready to give up on this cpu of mine when I thought maybe i should reapply thermal paste using some good stuff(Arctic MX4); I had originally used AS5 which I thought was pretty good stuff but i still got high core temps.50-58c at an idle. I just ran 3DMark Vantage and my temps were 40-48c. There is no curing time with AMX4. :D

I'd love to beat this score, but I can't get it to run 27x on all cores... seems your 940xm was binned higher for a good reason... I tried some runs with setFSB yesterday but it only brought me to BSOD-heaven, lol.

usmc362 has a cpu that might be capable of beating yours... though it's gonna be tough to beat king Inap I guess :D

Can't you just get some foil tubing and direct the air flow from your in house AC to the underside of your lappy?

I'm glad it worked out for you. my temps are a bit higher with MX3 - perhaps I should repaste...

    Go get 'em!

I think I need to repaste first - then I'll give it a try. Of course, my 260m is not going to be a match for all that hot Radeon iron - but maybe within the 260m group,....
