    illuminated alienware logo problem

    Hi
    I recently purchase an M15x with 940xm and 560m
    but i notice the alienware logo under the screen is lighting one side only and the other side is dim
    is this backlit replaceable?

    You might have to replace the entire control cover. But then again make sure to check for any loose connections which may be causing this problem.

    the control cover and touch buttons are just fine the problem is with the ALIENWARE text logo under the screen pannel.

    still dont have a clue its its the Alienware logo on the screen front bezel.

    I don't believe your going to find that part as a standalone even if you could detact it from the front LCD bezel. Honestly that logo is the only one I always keep off

    thanks that helped a lot I teared down the laptop and find that the led is not in place and had to tape it in place and replaced all rebon tapes to keep everything tight and tighten all the screws to get rid of the case cracking and put some lube on the hing now its like brand new again.

    Glad to see you managed to tear it down that far, that logo is not easy to get to. The LED must have slipped while moving it around.
