    m15x Upgrade?

    I want to upgrade from a 260m to a better card, as well as add more ram. Is there any way to have them correctly installed without having to do it myself? Please help!!

    Without doing it yourself? Now that Dell is out of 5850 stock, probably not. Unless you have a buddy that can do it.

    It's really not that hard to do though, and there's lots of information on the topic in this forum.

    Upgrading the RAM is a piece of cake, just remove the cover (2 screws), unplug the old RAM, plug the new one and put the cover on again (the step by step procedure is in your m15x manual actually). About the GPU, its very easy too, Inap made a very helpful guide, heres the link to it:

    Dell is out of 5850? I bought mine last week, arrived on Monday. They even scheduled a tech to come install for an extra 100. I ended up doing it myself since the last tech that came to my house did not even know how to take apart the system.

    Lucky you, I just called dell today to ask for a 5850 or a 460m and they told me that they where out of stock, maybe you got one of the last ones.

    Yea its definately not hard to upgrade and do it yourself there is plenty of vids on youtube already
