I have two issues with my m15x. Since the day I bought it the fn + f7 does completely nothing. I heard it should switch graphics card but, i press it and nothing happens. Also all the touch keys on the top right work but non of the OCD icons appear. I re-installed the OCD setup several times and restarted but, it never works. I have to run the OCD program manually and even then the OCD icons only appear briefly. I even put the OCD in the startup and still no luck.

I have the same issue when pressing fn+f7, I don't think the M15x has switchable graphics (you are talking about the newer M15x that got discontinued and not the old style ripley/skull cap right?). As for the osd icon display on the screen, I used to have them show up all the time until i opened up that strip where the icons are. After reseating the icons show up most of the time only because it doesn't exactly sit flush with the laptop at one end anymore. It could be a loose cabling (just a suggestion).

The Fn+F7 key is unassigned in the M15x, i.e., it does nothing. It can be used to switch between graphics cards in properly configured M17x-R3's.

Have you installed the most recent OSD application for the M15x? Drivers and Downloads.

It still seems that there is no luck. As soon as I run the setup the OSD icons work. But after like an hour they completely stop working or if i restart the computer. I really dont understand why it wont work. =[

    To reclarify:

    > The touch icons work they do everything but, the icons do not show on the screen. Unless I run the setup initially and even then, they stop showing after an hour.
    > How am I meant to switch between graphics cards or does the new m15x only have 1?

    Thanks.

The M15x has only one graphics card, no switching.

The first issue has been already discussed: http://forum.notebookreview.com/alienware-m15x/513573-osd-flakiness.html

And also, my M15x has only one graphics card.
