Screen quality is extraordinary. The screen alone might not be enough to drive the effect, BUT, while I was trying to replicate the chop (bluRay) issue in another thread, I noticed a 'near 3D' experience in the Avatar movie. PLEASE understand that I dont believe there is that much need in any other application, so 'for what its worth' its extraordinary.
What I mean by 'not enough to drive the effect' is; I believe part of the 3D effect is the overpowering I decided to place behind the screen by going with the i7 and 1333 ram. Initially its overkill, its also an investment in the future life of this laptop.

I haven't done extensive research, maybe someone would know better, I think 1333 would be a full 25% faster, for a nominal price change. As I understand (currently) nothing can use the ram past 6gb so stopping there is very practical and economical. I was evaluating lifespan/ value and new bloatware/ software in the future 4 years instead of immediate needs.

I would take the 4gb @ 1333, you wont need anything more than 4 unless your doing something that demands alot of ram.

You only need the 1333 if you overclock, if you don't plan on overclocking then I wouldn't bother getting it
