Have you updated drivers and or have turned the wifi on and off? The router is working 100%?

Might be worth re-seating the card and the antenna wires as well for the heck of it. I would not know of anything else you can do with it, maybe upgrade to a killer 1102? ;)

    Of course, buy this...

    Bigfoot networks Killer Wireless-N 1102 | eBay

It is pretty easy to install. I just did mine about two weeks ago, seems to connect faster, I read that overall it performs better than other cards, lowers ping for gaming as well which it why I bought it in the first place. I do not know if this will fix your issue, but I think it is worth it.

Is your laptop fine with other wireless routers?

Also a firmware update of the router might be worth it before spending cash.

I used to have the same problem. But it happens after 2 months. You should re-install your windows and download the lastest driver of 5300.

If it wont help, you can upgrade your wifi card :)

I had serious connection issues with my 5300 until I got rid of McAfee. I don't know what antivirus software you have, but I would try getting rid of it and trying Microsoft Security Essentials to see if that helps.
