    Very simple:
    Intel 920XM/940XM
    nVidia GTX 970M
    16GB RAM (2 x 8GB DDR3 1333MHz)
    512GB or 1TB SSD
    Intel 6300 wifi card

Liquid ultra TIM on the CPU, some equivalent of nano diamond paste on the GPU, and fresh Arctic thermal pads.

dont forget the 240w power brick. you need to pull the center pin / grind the pin short and dont plug in all the way / or use right angle adaptor with pulled pin.

if u pull the power brick's center pin, it cant charge the battery so its best to get a right angle adapter and pull the pin of the adapter.

According to some here, the 240W SLIM adapter does not have throttling issues with the M15X and does not require pulling the center pin. Otherwise, a right angle adapter is a way around the issue but they are hard to find unless you are in the U.S. Alternatively you can make an adapter of your own if you have some soldering skills and the right parts.

Oh well. The right angle adapter it is then :D.

Like I said previously, you can even make one yourself for a couple of dollars. Just get a Dell 7.4mm female power jack and a Dell 7.4mm male power plug and wire them together without connecting the center pin wire. You can even take it a step further and install a switch to switch between the middle pin being connected or disconnected. I made one of these if anyone is interested.

As is the cpu doesn't hog much until you start nuking an xm and only then does it pull a lot power wise, using a slim 240w and it is pretty good so far even though the battery I have may as well be a potato (dead).

1080p movies should not be laggy with any 1st gen Core-i CPU. Something else was probably causing the lag in your case; probably software related.

Well before the upgrade, everything is pretty much laggy. Browser games movies etc. idk what causing it. Even after reinstalling windows the problems is still there. Hahaha. Luckily the new cpu is helping alot.

Do you still recommend the 240W slim?

Yes I do. But, the center pin does need to be pulled. The recommended way to do this is to get a right angle adapter and pull the pin on that.
