    Pretty sure none of mpcie slots on alienwares are bootable.

    my hope is that because it is a USB slot on it. it will become bootable but im wondering if anyone knows for sure.

    Afair, all alienwares till today, power goes to mpcie slots after the post, so there is no way to boot from them. Would love to be proven wrong though :)

    Worse comes to worse, you can sacrifice 1 USB slot, by soldering it inside and running and USB pen drive off it.

    This is right, it can't be done. But soldering the USB inside could work just well as suggested by vs3074. Just not worth it :p

    what im going to be trying here in the near future is using the media card slot for an OS. for s and giggles see if it works., my guess is no.
