I've had this issue before - You don't mention what card you have but since it's 512MB I assume it's the 240M?

I just got dell to come out and replace my motherboard and video card because of this same issue.

It happened to me mostly when browsing while watching a video - some kind of graphics card issue for sure, but then could be a motherboard thing.. Not sure - so they went ahead and replaced both.

Push them on it - if you have your warranty - that's what you paid for!!

Perhaps if you give more details we might be able to figure it out..

Which model of video card (240m?)

Which drivers have you tried - only the ones from Dell or the WHQL from Nvidia (this would help to explore the issue)..

    Which Bios (A09?)

I have had that issue before also, but not so much recently - maybe try flashing a new video bios? You can find out which version of the VBIOS you have using a utility like GPU-Z - Google for that ;)

I'm sure we can figure it out, help us help you and give us as much detail as you can please!

    General rules
1 Tech support looks to forums like this for it's answers
2 If it's a real issue - it's usually being discussed or been resolved by the community - use google more!!

I use the 240m and I've had this problem as well. It stopped after I installed the latest 285.62 drivers from nvidia.

Yeah, I think that a new driver would fix it also since I only had that issue in the really early days..
