    Hi,Everybody,

need some help and advise from all gurus, heres the problem.

Yesterday i was trying to install a hd 6970 on my laptop, when finished i boot and check the temp and it still fine, open up again and try to repaste for lower temp.but when finished and try to booy up nothing happened.the alienware head outside does come on red but the power button does not.usually it lights up along with the alienware head outside and cant turn on the unit.any sugesstion and advice are greatly appreciated.

i also done the power drain trick and removed the c mos battery trick.check the cable connecting the power button and the panel but nothing happening.

Is there any indication whatsoever on the system LEDs? Blinking, etc.

If power drain does not work I would take it apart and rebuild, making sure GPU is plugged in and secure. Also check other connections that may have been disconnected during the mod.

maybe u accidently broke your touch panel's socket or wt ever on it,the touch panel is builded with the power switch,if its' dead, you cant turn it on
cause gpu failure you will result 3 beep sounds after you turned it on
and the num and caps lock will be flashing, the scroll lock will be a long on
that's wt happen when your gpu failed(or not fully pluged in,wt ever)
since you didnt mention it ,i guess its not about your card

I agree with elflegolas, since he was repasting the second time around he most probably didn't reseat the graphics card. Those touch panel connectors are very delicate and a little tricky to connect. I would check that it is plugged in correctly (and not broken) first.

Try finding another M15x owner nearby and verify that the part is faulty prior to buying a replacement
