    p08g m15x wont boot after cpu upgrade

    I have a p08g with 12gb ram and 512gb ssd
    With a 720qm i7 I got a 920xm and it just powers on full fan speed and sits like that till i shut it off xan any one please help me ....

    Have you tried reinstalling the 720 again to see if it boots? If it does, it might be a dead 920.-

    Changing a 720 for a 920 CPU is a pretty straight foward and easy upgrade, I can only advice you to upgrade your bios to version A09 (preferably the unlocked one) if you haven´t already done it and try again. Otherwise I guess you just got unlucky and have a dead CPU in your hands.-

    Yes, that´s the latest m15x bios, and it´s unlocked by svl7, I had mine instaled before upgrading to a 920 from a 740 and it went without issues.
