okay I'm getting frustated after spending a week with broken camera which can't be cured by updating BIOS to A09 (someone's advice), moreover, some of my softwares and fuctions aren't working properly anymore after updating BIOS.
I guess now I have no choice than to reinstall windows. What is the easiest and less-dangerous way to reinstall windows 7, I've been told not to use the CD from Alienware. Oh wait I forgot, I can't use the CD either because my DVD-RW can't read any kind of disc anymore since my BIOS updated to A09. I hope anyone notice that this is an emergency state, because I'm even writing this post on safe mode of windows 7.

Re-flash your bios to A09. Make sure you allow the EC update to install. DO NOT MANUALLY REBOOT AT ALL. Let the update reboot for you. There is an EXE version you can use instead of using the ISO version. After that is done check to see if everything is working.

    To Reinstall Windows 7
If your laptop came with Windows 7: Press Press F8 during boot and select boot to recovery partition. You can reinstall from here.

If you installed Windows 7 yourself: Use this tool: Windows 7 USB/DVD Download Tool - Free software downloads and software reviews - CNET Download.com to make an installation USB drive.

PS: Before reinstalling windows do the following:

    1. Start>All Programs>Accessories
    2. Right click on Command Prompt and select "Run as Administrator"
    3. At the command prompt type: %USERPROFILE%\Desktop
    4. Type: sfc /scannow > SFCLog.txt

This will run the System File Checker utility and repair any damaged windows system files (in most cases). This can take a couple hours so be patient. Once it is done reboot and see if it is functioning properly again.

Any idea why after reinstalling from the recovery partition I cannot install the AMD Catalyst Drivers from AMD for my Radeon HD 5850? The driver version with a date from 2009 that windows automatically puts in there works but I cannot update my driver.
