    so I've lost a rubber spacer that attempts to separate the screen from the keyboard....do I just contact Dell to get another one or is there a better option? Thanks!!

    You Contact DELL and they will come and swap the whole palmrest for you. The only option really.

    does it still have to be under warranty? or can I just replace it myself and have them ship me one?

    I still have the originals in place, but I just bought a set of black foam chair pads and cut one in half. Works well and the screen can't touch the touch strip anymore.

    So that's what went in those little holes that is missing on my wrist rest. With the chair pads, does it close far enough for the laptop sensor to notice that it's closed, and for hte laptop to go to sleep?

    Since the laptop screen responds by switching off with about 2inches to go, those chair pads should be totally fine.

    Where did you get these chair pads and what are they actuly called im going to run pick some up
