    Well,

ive noticed that my performance with this laptop is not even close to matching up with other peoples m15xs on this forum (similar specs and even lower specs).

i ran a 3dmark vantage benchmark and i noticed my score is FAR below everyone elses, even on my 6970m.

    GPU: 7106
    CPU: 3439

I expected the cpu to be this low seeing as its a pretty low end processor, but not the gpu.

I have tried everything i can think of, but im still stumped.

    heres my gpu-z window:

    EDIT:

i uninstalled the 11.10 drivers and installed the 11.9, my vantage score went up to:

    GPU:8076
    CPU:6911

The cpu score went up by more than twice somehow, mu GPU score also went up but its still not close to the avarage score for this card.

Did you use GPU-Z to monitor your clocks during the bench?

yea, my clocks are fine during the benchmark

EDIT: i jsut did a furmark, gpuz shows that the clocks arnt changing from the idle clocks

EDIT2: GPU-Z is not changing any of its data values, but CCC shows that my clocks are at 725/925

Things to try toggle stealth mode on and off, restart the machine once or twice, or just force the 3d clocks (and volts) with an overclock app.....

every now and then my 5850 will only do 300/400, and usually toggling stealth mode does the trick(while this happens the cpu is running fine so its not stealth mode its just on the gpu). and on rare occasions it will never go over 500/1000 unless i force the 3d clock or restart my machine. but your running a 6970 so i dont know if its the same problem. but sound abit similar
