ok i dont no if this is the best place to post this but i have an m15x with a ati 5850. i connected it to my tv via a 10m HDMI cable however i keep having a problem with the tv, it keeps getting a bright blue tint (not just a solid blue screen) i can still see the desktop but everything is bright blue. this only happens on the tv not the laptop.

does anyone no if this is due to drivers or the length of the cable or just my tv

    thanks

sound like a color tone issue on your tv. Samsungs have an issue where they default to a "cool" tone when HDMI is connected which can lead to a blue tint. I know some other brands do it too. Assume tv first. Other then that IDK.

I don't think this is a colour tone issue this doesn't happen with my xbox 360 and its hooked up with an hdmi cable. here is a Picture of the problem

The cable lenght shouldn't be a problem... it's a digital signal after all. Check if this happen with all devices which are connected with the TV via this HDMI jack.

i have a 5850 on my m15x and about 80% of the time i have it plugged to a sony 32 1080p via a 6' hdmi cable, and i can honestly say that i have never had your issue....
have u tried it on a different tv to see if it does the same thing??

not with this cable i haven't but when i go home from uni i hook it up to my tv at home and its fine.

to me it seems as if it can be 1 of 3 three things

    1. its the tv which seems unlikely as i hav my xbox plug into it and dont have this issue
    2. its the cable dont no why it would be this however its a 10m cable if that makes a difference
    3. its my graphics card but again this doesnt seam likely as it has worked fine on other tvs

so it looks to be most likely my cable i will have to try and test with a different hdmi cable. if it is the cable i will be annoyed as its brand new
