    what components are upgradable?

    with the new mx15 are the gfx cards upgradable? and the cpu , or are they soldered onboard , the only option i seem to have is the gtx460m ? is it good enough?

    460m is not bad at all, the only better options are ATI 5850m (as well as 5870m) and (inofficially) 6970m.
    Maybe even the Nvidia 470m, lets wait for widezus results...

    Best CPU you can put in the system is a 920xm or 940xm.

    Btw, the M15x is not on sale anymore on most Dell sites... nevertheless it's still a great machine. If you intend to buy one you should be able to get a nice deal. Either from a Dell outlet store or for example from the NBR marketplace.

    ah i am in the uk i would have gone for the mx14 but gfx are not upgradable in that so i have been told ........

    No, the GPU of the M14x is soldered to the board, not upgradable. The M14x is a nice machine, but advantages of the M15x are 1080p screen, more powerful GPU options and upgradability.
