I called support yesterday, and after 3 hours on the phone with them ends up somehow (I have no idea how) stealth mode was on, but no way to turn it off >.>. It was apparently like that the moment I got it. I have to send it back. At least it will be repaired T_T

You can try to unplug the adapter, press the stealth button and test again. Stealth mode can officially not be turned on in battery mode.

Maybe your adapter is not correct recognized and reported faulty.

hmm. its a tough decision. $500 for a 256gb SSD is pretty hefty. i have been hearing that the costs should drop around christmas, i hope thats true. anandtech gave the momentus xt pretty good reviews though.

yeah Intel third generation SSD will come around this winter. So prices are gonna drop.
The momentus is pretty much a revolution, its much better than a HDD, but still behind the SSDs..!

I know I already posted one, but I decided to redo it with throttlestop on and a mild overclock of my 5850 to 750/1050. Only graphics scores improved.

Even though I have an SSD, my score has always been 5.9. Feels like it's performing fine in the real world, and boot times are fantastic. Anyone know what I should see in Crystal Disk to make sure its performance is okay?

5.9 is the score you'll get with an 7200rpm HDD, for more performance you need a SSD.

For the rest of the scores... you can do the rating again, I bet some values will cahnge :D
It's not really accurate, this whole WEI.

Everyone you know there is a way to spoof the WEI score? I've done it once before its like a registry or ini hack. Even if it is inaccurate, score of 7.9 across the board would look cool, especially in front of ignorant Mac and Vaio users. Hehehe
PS Don't tell any one that I used to own a Macbook Pro and it was on that very machine that I spoofed it.

Yes, I know... but I prefer doing the real rating... it's like gambling :D when you're lucky the scores will improve, otherwise they may decrease a bit, lol.

Edit: But it's kinda funny when you edit the WEI of a low end netbook and let others wonder about what's wrong with their machine... yeah.

Even if you change the settings in that file, Windows will revert it back eventually. I did that to mine once just to try it out, and in a week or so the system auto reverted the changes I made.

And WEI is also constantly updated as more and more users use higher end hardware. As an example, my Alienware desktop with an 980x used to score 7.9 when it came out. Once users started overclocking them and getting the rating with WEI, mine dropped to 7.7 since I was at stock speed.

Your scores may change as newer hardware is released.
