Can someone tell me if there is a setting to keep the wifi turned on and connected when the screen gets closed, atm its disconnecting everytime and driving me crazy, I had look at the settings but cant seem to see anything that relates to it. Oh im running Win7 Pro with the Intel 5300 if that helps!

Have you selected "Do nothing" in the "When I close the lid" setting in the Power Plan section (Control Panel)?

THis should do it, as the default option (if I remember correctly) is to send the device to sleep / hybernate, which will cut the wifi off.

You may have to go through the settings in the Alienware Command Centre to do the settings (though it should be fine to change either the Alieware or the Windows Settings as they are one and the same). There is definatly options regarding the wifi card within the power settings (cant give specifics as at work at the moment), so have a dig around there.
