    wont turn on after chnaging processor

    hi, i just bought 1920xm from ebay and place it on my m15x. i did replace my wireless card too. after i put it back together i have the same problem like this guy.
    YouTube - Alienware M15x PLEASE HELP !! and Solution !!

    is there some kind of special treatment to change the processor?

    A few things to do. Power drain: take out power cord and battery, hold power for 20 secs. Have you checked to make sure that you screwed the processor back in? Some people (like me) unscrew the processor socket, put the processor in and immediately put the heat sink back on and forget to screw it back in. Have you applied thermal paste? Did you mistype and write 1920xm? Because that processor does not exist.

    yes i mean 920xm, sorry mistype. yes i screw back on processor. i also did re paste and do the battery drain. i also tried removing cmos battery and also replacing RAM (>.<).

    but i don't exactly know the problem is. its turn on after four times i repaste the processor and replug cmos battery and ram

    Sometimes something doesn't get seated properly. The other thing that should ALWAYS be mentioned when messing with processor or ram is to wear a grounding bracelet. I always wear one.
