This thing looks amazing, Dual 260GTX's...dual 280s put it out of my price range. Dual 260's should be sufficient for anything gaming wise. Black chassis FTW

We need to know which 256GB SSD comes with this. $400 is a good upgrade price.

That's the quad vs dual core argument. Search up past threads. Quads for the future, duals for the present seems to be the conclusion, I think.

That Q9000 would be a much better choice IMO.

The usability of the 4 cores and increased cache will come in handy down the line :)

Then I need to ask a question that needs answering xD

Is getting the 256GB in Raid 0 (which makes it 512...but really 256)..

...pointless? I can see how raid 0 would benefit HDDs, not SSDs

Considering Dell's involvment w/AW, it is most likely the samsung pb22-j - an EXCELLENT ssd.

    Option C the T9600 2.8Ghz.

+.13Ghz is not worth the extra $275 for the T9800.

Man, now I am glad Dell cancelled my XPS 1730 back on May 21st.
That rig was going to cost $2600 and that was after EPP.

Now for $2600 I can get much better!

PS: a previous post of mine back in the XPS 1730 owner's forum I was talking to a Dell sales tech and they told me that EPP customers will be able to purchase the All powerful. Just a heads up on that. Sweeeet!

Im still debating whether to buy my own CPU for $560, orr do the $900 upgrade on the alienware. I'm not sure I'll be able to do the CPU replacement...I have steady hands...but Im not exactly sure..how, or if its even doable on this model?

well i have not gotten the notebook yet.

all you do is follow the guide to replace the heat sink ....that will take it off then you pop out the cpu and pop in the new one then follow the guide to put it back on

I wonder if the cards are setup like the XPS IE 2 cards on one PCB , so adding a second one wont be an option down the road and also maybe why the 2x280 only comes in SLI .
