theres something about black that makes black=sexy![]()

This thing looks amazing, Dual 260GTX's...dual 280s put it out of my price range. Dual 260's should be sufficient for anything gaming wise. Black chassis FTW
-
So what do you guys think...$50 for the recovery DVDs? Honestly, this should be free.....
-
-
Found RAM for $400 cheaper!
Linkeh
EDIT: Just need help finding a SSD deal :> -
-
-
Which one is better, Q9000 or T9800????
-
-
That Q9000 would be a much better choice IMO.
The usability of the 4 cores and increased cache will come in handy down the line -
wholly crap 280 SLI and 1900 res for under 2600!!!!!
-
Is getting the 256GB in Raid 0 (which makes it 512...but really 256)..
...pointless? I can see how raid 0 would benefit HDDs, not SSDs -
-
-
Considering Dell's involvment w/AW, it is most likely the samsung pb22-j - an EXCELLENT ssd.
-
-
Don't they both have a 6mb cache? Only the QX9300 has the 12mb cache?
-
Raid 1 = 256GB -
+.13Ghz is not worth the extra $275 for the T9800. -
i guess imma get the 260 single because their is no option for a 280 single.
alien FX is tandard right? -
MrButterBiscuits ~Veritas Y Aequitas~
Has anybody heard what type of Motherboard and chipset that it uses? and what kind of GPU slot does it have???
-
The Nvidia MCP79MX (aka 9400M G) is the chipset.
-
This might be a nooby question but I thought notebooks didn't use DDR3 at 1333MHz yet, can the M17x use it or is it just a waste?
-
-
-
m17 can use it
also its because the FSB isn't that fast . But its good for overclocking -
omg...anyone else see the bloat (although just one) ware they are installing...
i dont want mcafee...ugh!!!! -
Also, I do want to know if MXM 3.0b is on the mobo. Guess we'll find out tomorrow. -
So it's not worth getting the 1333?
-
dondadah88 Notebook Nobel Laureate
yeah i got 1333fsb on the whitebook but i don't see how ram can effect system performance when the chipset OR the cpu is at 1066.
-
Man, now I am glad Dell cancelled my XPS 1730 back on May 21st.
That rig was going to cost $2600 and that was after EPP.
Now for $2600 I can get much better!
PS: a previous post of mine back in the XPS 1730 owner's forum I was talking to a Dell sales tech and they told me that EPP customers will be able to purchase the All powerful. Just a heads up on that. Sweeeet! -
Yeah, it will be fully configurable on Dell's site tomorrow (Home, EPP, etc)
-
-
-
has anyone ever purchased from dell using the student account??
-
Im still debating whether to buy my own CPU for $560, orr do the $900 upgrade on the alienware. I'm not sure I'll be able to do the CPU replacement...I have steady hands...but Im not exactly sure..how, or if its even doable on this model?
-
lol, the front page says SLI dual 280m upgrade will cost +$8000 lol
-
so no one noticed you cant have them "NOT" install the mcafee stuff?
this is not a good sign....i hate preintalled stuff...ugh! -
I'm also thinking of installing my own processor but I wondering how hard it going to be with this notebook.
-
-
not hard at all
so hard to choose now
ill have to find another 260 to put in SLI because the performance diff for me is not worth it -
-
well i have not gotten the notebook yet.
all you do is follow the guide to replace the heat sink ....that will take it off then you pop out the cpu and pop in the new one then follow the guide to put it back on -
-
I wonder if the cards are setup like the XPS IE 2 cards on one PCB , so adding a second one wont be an option down the road and also maybe why the 2x280 only comes in SLI .
-
trust me not hard
my m17 should be sold
i have to shell out 600 bucks now -
they better not be
-
Tomorrow is going to be fun!!
But I will wait for the MXM question to be answered...hope that is soon!!! -
