if you think that has alot of advertisments you should see my free shirt i got from AW at a convention. i have to advertise amd ati and alienware all on 1 shirt. one reason why i never wore it

Payment confirmed 19th Febr.
Made it to phase 7 - stuck there now for 13 (!) days and counting.
Makes me angry to think about it.

brnakp: DHL loosing it is - icing on the cake. Have they found it yet?

My status is phase 7 since monday morning and I didn't expect it to last longer than max two days, but 13, wow there must have been something really wrong with your unit! Furthermore I'm more and more convinced that this phase thing is complete bullsh**

 

yep,totally agree, phase game = total garbage.

dont be phased but dont trust the phases

im sure it was after me but that doesnt mean a thing as well as people that ordered last week have also been shipped or in phase 6 or phase 7 or phase 8

After talking with aw callcentre today I am in Phase 2

 

DHL called today - they found it (?!) and promised to deliver tomorow. So it took 9 days from Ireland to the Czech Republic (mainly due to the DHLs incompetence)... But tomorow is the great day I will have my m15sx )

 

They took my money on the 12th March, so i'll be about a month and a week i'm guessing.

Oh, and you better be joking about the shipping thing... I haven't recieved an email with any package number or anything yet so i'm scared!

Yeah, you should call Alienware to get your shipment confirmed and then bug DHL from then on .

now im on phase 9

shipped. dont know if i should be excited or scared

 

EXACTLY the same thing happend to me. went for my lunch break at phase 5, came back just now and Phase 9! No confirmation email yet but it sounds too good to be true... i'm pretty psyked up! Can't wait for alienware to crush my spirits in a few hours and put me back to phase 4

Hi everbody!

Ordered my m15x on Monday 31st March 2008. (Estimated Ship date: 28th April 2008)

Bit of a ****-up with the credit-card payment, but that was all sorted after a couple of phone calls. Spoke to my credit-card company to clear the payment, then called Alienware to ask them to try again. Got an e-mail the next day, 3rd April, informing me that my payment is all cleared and my order is in the queue awaiting production, and there is a link to their online order status thing on the website.
I log-in – Phase 4.

So, a couple of weeks later, I haven’t had any more e-mails from Alienware (it does say they will e-mail you if there are supply problems) and I’m wondering if my laptop is in production yet.
No – Phase 4.

Out of curiosity I Google ‘Alienware Phases’ and here you all are (and have been for a couple of months in some cases).

Wow! I knew there had been a few problems with overheating etc. I’d read about that, including about the BIOS update to fix it, before I made my decision to buy. It stands to reason that there would have been some delay in production after something like that, but I had no idea that there would be such a backlog of orders. The m15x is so beautiful though, I should have known that it would also be so popular, even at Alienware prices.

Alienware have hung themselves with this progressing thing. People want to log on and each time see some movement in production of the machine they have paid a lot of money for. With this system it really shows up when there is a hang anywhere in the production process. If everything keeps moving on the system, everybody is happy; perhaps none the wiser.
If you don’t know about it, it can’t cause you any stress.

Anyway, it is nice to see that things are moving here in the UK and people on this forum are receiving their new pride and joy. I was getting a bit worried reading this thread earlier on.

Well, with all the waiting, at least there’s time to read a 47 page thread on a forum. And this post.

i was in the same situation as you with my debit card on the 7th march and it took 3 days to sort out. what a bad start but i thought that with AW reputation everything would go smoothly from now on.
then i woke up and found myself in phase 5 for 24 days argh!
i have been very tempted to cancel but am glad i didnt and hopefully by monday i should have a new toy to play with.
try not to look at the phase page if you can help it as it will only wind you up.
all i can say is thank god AW is a freephone number.
good luck and hopefully the m15x is back on track now so you wont have to wait as long as some of us on here.

Since I registered to this forum, and while I was posting that long message, I have received a new e-mail from ALIENWARE!!!!!

They can confirm my payment is received and my order is in the queue awaiting production. Huh?

I check my order status: I'm in Phase 3. Again.

Maybe this really means that my order is progressing.
Or, maybe this means there has been a problem.
Or, maybe it means that Alienware CS are reading this forum.:laugh:

Well for me it went really fast, also went to phase 5 and ordered one week ago... I also had to do some calls before they finally got the money...

So it seems like they have all the parts. When I look on their website I see they don't have some parts which are in my laptop though...
