as you can tell there is quite a lot of us waiting.
when did you actually order your computer and when was the money taken from your account.
also is there any chance you can put your spec of your computer in your signature so it shows below each post.

checked just now, says Phase 9, Phase 6-9 in one day, making a total of exactly one week to ship, I'm impressed with AW so far just a shame no black.

Holy **** Batman!!.. Look at my signature. And It's got all the dates laid out. It has taken less than a month to get to phase 9.

You want to know the Irony of it all? Is that I am currently working abroad and I wont be back in the UK for another 2 weeks. I am well impressed tho. I cant wait to get home and open it up to see how it runs.

Hope everything will be a-Ok when I get there.

Would have posted sooner but been away all week...

Orderd mine on 15/03/08 with a estimated shipment date of 10th april. was sitting in phase 4 until the 10th and now i'm suddenly on phase 5. Think it's just a coincidence to stop me pestering them about actually building the thing or is it actually in production?

Last emial I got from them... 03/04/08

I know a lot of guys waiting longer than me, and after all this BS with customer service i've read about I am skeptical about anything they have to say.

 

Maybe its cause I ordered nothing like the Blu-Ray, 200gb HD, 1080p Screen, 2.8 or 2.6ghz, or Smart Bay.

dont hold your breath monarch about moving to phase 5. ive been there 19 days and counting.

1 question i forgot to ask a while ago is:
does anyone know what this is Alienware Extras: AlienInspection - Exclusive Integration and Inspection - £50 Value - FREE!

please dont tell me that this is the supposed 200 point inspection that lately doesnt seem to work.
if so,you mean normally we would have to pay £50 for them to check the systems over once they are built???

 

The only difference between your config and mine are the wallpapers, the HD and the fact I didn't order 3 year warranty... no comment.

 

i only see that on extra inspection package on the uk site. i dont see it on the u.s. when i first went to the uk site and saw it i was wondering why we dont get a extra inspection package free too. that is something you get that u.s doesnt.

 

thanks for that exiled. very interesting. so i wonder what they inspect differently on top off the 200 point check.
could be to make sure we have the right 3 pin 240 volt plug

 

isnt 50 pounds a bit expensive to check for that

Damn this is realy getting stupid now. I feel like such a whiner but I ordered like 2 months before darkfly and the only difference between our configs is the 200gb HDD and a 2 yr warranty. I doubt the warranty is holding it up, they must have run out of HDDs and are stalling. Ive been in Phase 6 for a week now. If they actually send me a scratched up system that doesnt work then I swear Im going to kick some ass. I think Ill call up on Monday and ask for the supervisor or manager. The CS people dont really seen to know or be able to do anything. The guy I spoke to yesterday said he would "find out" and "email" me on "Monday". What ****

 

automated email i received said they were waiting on 3 things for me.

i wrote a letter of complaint and in the groveling reply it said all i was waiting for was the 200gb HDD

stalling once again

 

Mine move to phase 9 today after 1 week in phase 7. However I don't understand why it can move to phase 9, because as i know Alienware don't work on Saturday.

 

Mine came to day, yay, still hadn't got dressed when it came.

Now I've stopped hating aw, now I hate DHL. Shipped from aw on last wednesday, last track event 2008.04.10 - loaded and went hell knows were. Called them today and the woman on the phone had no clue "I don't know, it will hopefully be there later this week. Try calling tomorrow and after tomorrow."

DHL picked my AW up on Friday & came today which is what the estimate was (2 days if in the UK, on AW's site). Hope you get yours soon man, both of you.

WOOHOOO!! Finally after almost a month in phase 4 then back to phase 3 for 2-3 hours, I'm now in

PHASE 5!!

Although I don't know how this is possible as the expected date for the 200GB HDD is 24th April. I havne't received an e-mail from them about the phase change yet either.

Hopefully I'll soon have mine delivered !!

IVE MOVED BACK TO STAGE 5 (and im not joking)

what a company

 

im seriously pissed off now.
another apology another excuse.

the only one i want to speak to on CS is off sick today.

9.10am moved to phase 6
rang up and asked what was happening and was told my system was finished and was being shipped today?????
i explaned how can it be shipped if the part i was waiting for was only delivered on friday and there is no production line over the weekend. was told after he checked it might be shipped on wednesday???
make your bloody mind up.

4pm moved back to phase 5 WTF
CS explaine that due to the parts being changed the order number also needed to be changed and this is what could be causing the delay.
she went to check.
8 minutes later she said i see you have moved from phase 4 to phase 5 today.
i lost the plot
i said actually ive been in phase 5 for the past 21 days. she said in not so many words no you hav'nt.
i asked could she explain to me why this morning i was told it was finished and was waiting to be shipped.
she said the chap i spoke to was new and hadnt read all the notes.
she offered to ring me in 48 hours to keep me updated on the status.
i lost the plot again

from tomorrow i will be ringing every 2 hours on the dot.

the moral of this story is: dont beleave the phase game as its a load of ****e.

MINE SHIPPED TODAY YAY !!! Good news for once for me. I called up to yell at them today and our friend funny accent woman answered. She told me to wait while she read some notes after taking me order no and said that it was ready for shipping and would be picked up by DHL today and I should expect a mail with the tracking no. I was so confused when she said that cos I was all pumped up to do my angry foreigner bit but I just said thanks and hung up. Got the tracking number an hour ago.
Only worry I have is if its a proper working machine since it was in Phase 6 for a week and jumped to 9 today so Im keeping my fingers crossed. The other problem is I have an exam on Thursday so I might fail....

Wish me luck on getting a completely functional non scrached non downclocking system guys !!

I am still waiting for mine - My order was confirmed on the 19. February (and paid) - been waiting patiently for 2 months now. No clue in which sequence machines are shipped but definitely not by order intake. Grmblfuxxxxx

Ah well, at least I don't have to worry about a faulty machine yet - still no fix to the overheating problem...?

What phase are you in now, and what date have they said it'll ship ?

Is strange you didn't get yours yet. I ordered mine on the 5th of February so not much more ahead of you and I have exactly the same config as you except for the ram (got 2gb will get more if needed/when needed). And mine is already one week old. Maybe you'll get yours end of this week or next week since you ordered 2 weeks after me but that will mean that AW is really taking this slowly. And it clearly proves not that they had a problem with chasis and other parts being delivered as they say. I think they are actually planning things very careful to make sure they don't have parts extra on stock. Even if it means huge delays for the customers. What other reason would it be if not this, I mean I dont think they had thousands of m15x orders from 5th-9th of February till the 19th...

 

Talked to DHL today, will only get mine this friday/next monday. I hat dhl, it said maximum six days for delivery, my was shipped 04.09

 

I hate DHL too! Mine was shipped 04/08 and today DHL admitted that they do not know where my m15x is. They only promised to check it and call ASAP... Crazy!
