Any sure-fire way of getting a US rep? Should I just ask for one?

if you want a US rep just dial extension: 2160155, and ask for John Early. This dude helped me out good for my m1x r-2. Nashville based, I just ordered my R2 from them recently.

HOw did you get 20 percent? I just ordered mine like 2 days ago and I only got like 50 dollars off the total, what am I missing lol?
-
-
-
Could I get a reference too? I just went through the wringer with foreign reps and would like a US rep
-
Could I get a reference too please? Ive tried 3 times now getting through to a UK rep but only getting foreign people as well..
Best offer Ive had is a free mouse sigh -
Well shoot, the rep you gave me didn't seem to want to budge on my order. He wouldn't give me any discounts on top of my student discount. So right now I can only get the 10% student discount and another $50 for my AAA membership.
-
Heres what I got out of him earlier.
I think it might be based on your location. He gave me a quote after he got my location.Attached Files:

Meh, so far every rep I've talked to has given me roughly the same price, give or take a few dollars. And of course, I've gotten the ol' "I can't go any lower", etc. If only I didn't have to pay the darn sales tax
I even treid to just get free shipping from the last rep (US rep mind you), and he said, "If we were able to do that somehow I would be in a lot of trouble because according to company policy I would be creating a special promotion that we are not offering to all customers." - Is that true, or is this guy just not giving me the best deal I could get? Granted I'm only ordering a ~$1500 system, not a $2500+ system like some of the other folks on here, but I'd still like to be able to get a better deal than what I've been getting. I may just have to save up a bit more and go for it though. -
also this will save you $50 if add the 1080p screen which is really worth it -
Heres a coupon for 5% off:

Could someone PM me info on a good rep to try? I've called six times now and no one will budge. They claim the build I want is unavailable through EPP, and then offer me a 2% discount. It's getting a bit irritating.

Sorry, I was a bit rushed in my first post. I'm ordering the M11x, with the SU7300 CPU, 4GB RAM, 160GB HDD, and bluetooth 2.1 module. No other bells or whistles. It comes to $969 before discounts, tax, and shipping. I have a $50 coupon and a 5% non-EPP coupon.
The best I can get from the sales reps is a 2% EPP discount and free shipping, which gets me to $900 before tax.
If I order without the EPP discount and use the 5% coupon instead, it comes to $870 before tax.
The only way they'll offer me the 10% EPP discount is if I get the same build with a 500GB HDD and an antivirus app, which comes to $1037 before tax. -
Imadv8, do you still need a contact? I can't PM you, check your settings
-
I can't find any mention of PMs in the settings...
-
) on the forums before your PM is activated. Even after your posts, I believe it might take about a day for the PM to be activated. Find some thread of interest and help out productively, Good luck.

I am looking to buy two M17x-R2 flynnaz can you set me up with a contact. Don't want to break the bank to much =P

Don't except much help from his sales rep. I emailed him/called him to no avail. Then complained to customer care and got free NBD shipping. He finally emails back for one day then promised $41 off my order but since that day, wed march 31st, I have received no further emails nor has he picked up his phone. He must have had thursday and friday off right? yeah right.
-
I'm sorry for your bad experence, I have had great luck with comunication with this rep. I am in sells myself, sometimes people make mistakes, remember he finally came through in the end for you at the tune of 20% off.
And Malignant your the reason for my great deal too. Thank you -
-
Dang, these reps are ALL OVER THE PLACE. I just talked to the fifth rep I've called, and she claimed she "can't email manual discounts"... even though 4 reps already did before her... mmmhmmm.
I guess I'll just go with the last deal I got, it was 10% student discount plus $50 for AAA. Not very good, but I decided to get financing so I don't really care as much anymore. I'm tired of dealing with all these reps, I just want to order it already. -
Thanks for the email, Flynnaz. I'll try again on Monday. Hopefully he'll be in a good mood from the holiday and be more willing to help me out.
-
-
My discount is 19.6% or something too, we are maxed out from what we have seen.
-
Whew, finally got a rep that cut the crap and maxed out my discounts. It was supposed to be $1,824 originally, but with my student discount we managed to work it down to $1,559
With tax and shipping, it ended up being $1710 total.
Specs are in my sig, can't wait! -
JWest,
right on, good to hear. -
And if I might add to the thread, ordering via chat can be a much more pleasant experience than ordering over the phone. It's quicker and easier. I got really fed up with calling agent after agent, having to re-navigate through the phone menus, etc. But then I went for the chat, and it was a lot quicker and more pleasant.
So if anyone's tired of calling over and over, give the online chat a try. That's how I ended up ordering mine -
IMO ordering through chat is harder to negotiate. I know it takes a while to get the right rep through the phone but in the end, it will be worth it.

I'm one of the few that actually broke the "Maximum 20%" discount. My total was $2893 before tax and I got it for $2270.70 - $19 for shipping so that's 22.2% discount.
All through the phone!
-
I think they're more willing to work it down when you're ordering something so expensive. Mine was in the sub $2000 range, so they probably weren't willing to bend as much.
-
My price before discount $3,149.00, price after a 5 min phone call $2,549.10, a $599.90 savings 19% plus 19 shipping which got upgraded to NBD and $195.17 in tax. Not too bad
-
^Same first CS rep I talked to gave me NBD no questions asked and also took away the shipping fee. I just told him I'm a student and I could use the laptop asap. Love my CS rep.
-
Wow good discounts! And thanks, it's good to know chat reps can work something out as well. I will be fishing for m17x most likely during or after the summer.
-
Like I said before, the reps aren't coming down on the M11x pricing as generously as they are with the M15/17x.
-
They won't come down at all, in my case. The one build of the M11x available under the EPP costs $1037 after a $50 coupon, and I've had several reps now tell me that they have no ability to alter EPP builds, contrary to what was stated in the first post of this topic. They also claim to be completely unable to offer any discount beyond published coupons.
-
Lies! Lies! Lies! Lies!
They CAN but they WON'T. I know because I got one rep to give me free shipping. So he told me the system didn't want to accept his free shipping code, so what he will do, he will manually reduce the price by the exact amount of the free shipping.
When they do that and mail you the order, on the order it will say "Special Pricing Applied" and there will be the total discount he made.
