Hi DJ, yeah been doing same status page refresh every few hours for the past few weeks too hehe... Hope yours changes soon too, looks like a similar setup and timing. Besides the battery I had no other excuse emails to the delay. Good timing tho as my old area-51 cyborg green lappy decided to finally cook itself good and proper.

Andy, I see you've ordered the smart-bay battery. Last time I talked to them about it they said they won't be receiving them any time soon (couldn't even give me an estimated date) and they're not available on the website anymore either.

The same problem happened to my briefcase; it got took down from the website and don't have a date for new briefcases so I had to change it to the backpack.

So make sure your system isn't delayed due to the smart bay battery; I'd phone in if I were you.

 

Hi Crystak, hmmm doesnt sound good on the battery front then, I'll enquiry as well. As far as the system tho, they said the battery was on back order and would ship serperately so I assume it hasn't impacted the assembly and shipping (waiting on tracking no.) - will see

im new to the site and like lots of you have been a bit miffed at the long waiting times for the m15x sysytem.

i'd just like to thank all of you that brought a smile to my face whilst reading through this thread particularly mr dj who i think brought me the most smiles.

ive just checked my order status a few moments ago and to my surprise im in phase 9 (order shipped yay!)

ill run you through my order process so you can compare.

*26th feb ordered from website

*29th feb after delays with card issuer and the like order processed.

*27th march got email from alienware saying your order will be delayed due to case shortage

*28th march went to phase 4

*7th may phase 9 and received tracking numbers in email from alienware.

so not long now i hope, fingers crossed.

BTW congratulations to all the people who got thiers already, and mr dr hang in there it wont be long now im sure.

 

Crystak, got a reply from AW about my Smart-Bay Battery back-order, apparently its gone out today with my m15x. So looks like they have a few in at least. Hope that helps your order.

Wtf ? How come dsproductions and AndyPCs lappies shipped before mine? Im still in Phase 6 as of today so I think something retarded is happening. I think I'll call them tomorrow and harass them. Stupid Aliens

I just called up AW CS and guess who answered ! Thats right, my friend the funny accent upgrade my shipping woman ! So I asked her why people who ordered after me had their orders shipped out today and moved from phase 5 to 9 overnight while Ive been in Phase 6 for almost 2 days now. She tried her different configs line on me to which I replied that one had the same config while the other had a different config. She then went on about how testing takes different amounts of time for different systems which was why mine was taking longer. I asked her whether that was a good or a bad thing to which she said 'Its not good or bad it is the standard AW testing procedure'. Me : WTF does that mean? Her : ' I can speak to the management to ask why people who ordered after you have got their systems before you' Me : ' You do that. Can you put me on ultra high priority?' Her : 'No cos youre in the end stage anyway' Me : ' Oh joy !! So will it ship in the near future?' Her : ' In a couple of days, atleast by the end of the week.' Me : ' It damn well better. UPGRADE MY SHIPPING BIATCH !!' Her (amused) : ' Sorry sir I cant do that' Me : ' Fine but if it doesnt ship this week I swear I will cancel and probe all your asses with a basball bat wrapped in barbed wire' Her : ' Im sure it will ship, I will talk to the management about your order' Me : ' Great, now my life has meaning. Bye .......... I keel yu'

So thats what happened. Maybe not in those exact words though.

 

im not too sure either mortis, but ive recieved my tracking numbers so its def been sent.hopefully yours wont be too long now. im guessing ill recieve mine on thursday, ive booked the morning off work as my fiance is working till lunchtime so i wanted to make sure someone is here.

Mortis when did you order? Just moved to phase 9 btw! I'm acting like crazy now . Haven't received the e-mail though, hope I get it tomorrow with all the info from DHL. Also anyone imagine how much time will it take to ship it to me? I ordered basic shipping, think it was written 6 days max...

 

YES mines shipped they said they dont know when they are getting more Smart Bats in but i have mine

anybody just notice in the last few hours that the base version of m15x is now available, if I ordered today (instead of last Friday) I could of saved exactly £52.

Hi,I'm from 3 april in phase 4, I looks like AW works faster now.
What's going on about this tracking numbers or something from DHL?
Must I do something more or mabe wait untill m15x will be ready and they sent me.

@nofate when your system gets to phase 9 the status will say that it shipped. After that you will get an email from AW congratulating you (yea don't understand that one either but still) on the shipment and it will contain a number you can use on the dhl website to check where your package is.

i think you might have a few more weeks to wait yet before you receive your new computer.
phase 4 is where they get all the bits together for your computer before it goes into production on phase 5.
if you are in the uk and once you reach phase 9 you will then receive a shipping number from dhl who are the courier company that will be delivering to you address. you do not need to do anything else now but just wait and wait and wait.

 

MrDJ knowing yr luck, all the lappys that are shipped will be broke, and yrs will be only good one

Does anyone know the shippment times ?, as AW only have 2 shipping options now, both say 2 days for the UK, as that sounds right
Ireland is normlay 1-2 day service

ps. ive just loaded some software called hard disc sentinel that checks on how your computer is running. at the moment (not for much longer i hope) i am using a fujitsu siemens amilo and it says it is running at 112 degrees farenite. what was the m15x running at when all the problems started with overheating?
i cant be assed to go and look for the info

If I won't get it tomorrow, i'm calling them. Oh and I live in Lithuania, from AW site it said up to 6 days to ship it, so I will probably kill myself waiting...

today I finally reached phase 9 and I also received mail from AW with DHL number. Do you know what could be the delivery time from Ireland to the Czech Republic where I live?

now look what you have all done to me. my laptop just jumped to low resolution and everything on the screen when massive. its most probably because im spending so much time on this forum or entering my details on the phase page.
could it be because my laptop is frying at the moment at 115 degrees farenite???

I think it's because it feels it's going to get replaced soon so it's getting back to you now for all the pain and suffering you've caused 'him' .

something to be said to that Crystak, and im not joking, 4 days after ordering my m15x, the gfx card in my old old area51m fried and now is not recognised, so im running in a nice vga, green lines down the screen, no driver environment... now if thats not a laptop have a strop for being replaced I dont know what is. Still it will make a nice metalic green doorstop or something

How about we organise a m15x Lan Party when we've all got our systems ?
We can play some games and the winner gets an m17x as a prize......meaning when they ship it 20 years later. The rest of us just need to hip in 50p, the interest will pay for the machine by the time they launch it
