Alienware M15x Uk Orders

5 to 9, that gives me hope, howlong were you in 5 for? ive been there 5 days now

ive just rang 3 times,. 1st two i hung up cus i got the woman i said about earlier, 3 rd time i spoke, still that bloody woman but i couldnt be bothered anymore.still she says it can take 6-10 days from now even though its been in production for 5 already. im setting myself the target of may, that way i shouldnt be dissapointed.

 

I am also still in Phase 5. I ordered 11th Feb, payment processed on 15th. So after seeing Fluffyrugs post, mine should ship out sometime next week since mine was one of the first set of orders apparently (I hope). I just want it to get to me by the 12th because I have an exam on the 17th and I want to play around with it for a day or two.

@dsproductions : Was it a woman with a shady French/British mix accent? Shes the one I had my UPGRADE MY SHIPPING BIATCH conversation with. She also told me the 6-10 days thing yesterday

 

she was the one i spoke to this morning. (no comment).
this afternoon i spoke to sean and he was very helpful even tho he was slightly confused. he checked and said my screen did not pass the QC and was pulled. now i have to wait for the next batch to be delivered.
so near but so far.

 

Just got home from work and I have the confirmation email and a dhl shipping reference, so it looks like things are finally happening, Mortis, dsproducations I think you'll probably go to phase 9 by Tuesday, as that was the date I was given yesterday.

At least the production line is moving. I was looking through the emails and I actually ordered it on the 6/2, so its been quite a while!!!

 

she's definately got some kind of accent, speaks rather quietly. well, unless its moved this evening i guess were all waiting for monday morning to come to see if they've done anything yet.

 

Today i went from phase 5 to 9. Yesterday i was in Phase 5 which i was in for about a week or so. I even received a DHL Trakingnumber. Hope they did not skip all this testing.

 

i dont think they will have skipped the testing, i think the opposite after what i was told yesterday, that they are testing them even more just to make sure everything is ok. which, thinking about it, is probably why people are staying in phase 5 longer because its taking longer for the laptops infront of them to be tested. however, i have no idea why they dont update the order status properly, even on the phone they say it doesnt always work properly. well, i will have been in phase 5 for a week on monday, so hopefully ill jump up at least a few places then.

 

you should all teach them a big lesson and cancel monday morning

11 days in phase 5 for me and counting.
original ship day was today but thanks to the QC that found a fault im now waiting for the next delivery of screens.

 

That sucks :\ - it's good that they've discovered the fault though, better than having to send it back because of a scratch or who knows what.

 

MRDJ did they tell you what the fault was? was it only with your specific screen or with all of them? i am starting to seriously doubt this company man

now the 14th is in 9 days time but i was told mine should go back into production on the 7th with priority build.
im wondering if mine was actually built but didnt pass the QC so is just sitting there now waiting for the part.
you would think that knowing how many m15x were in the Q to be built they would have all the parts and extras just in case of something like this happening.
also not sure how true it is but someone mentioned that their machine was delayed due to them being out of stock of the velvet sleeve the computer is rapped in. tell me if im wrong but the first thing anyone does once opening the box is throw the sleeve back in the box and never look at it again.

 

No no no, I won't carry my baby anywhere without a sleeve! MrDJ, hope you get your's soon, If your system didn't pass the QC it's not so bad, at least it shows that AW checks the systems.

By the way, remember me saying that I will laugh if I get my system before you ? I'm in phase 5 now too, wish me luck.

 

i agree that surely they would order enough of each part to cover all the orders they have recieved. and if they have, but there faulty, then surely they need to sort their suppliers out. we had to wait 5/6/7? weeks or more for the screen/chassis to come into stock, and now they have, you've been told "yours" is faulty, so you got to wait longer still. does this mean just yours is faulty, or they all are? if its just yours, surely they've got more there, and if not, someone elses who is in production but order after you should have to wait and they can use that screen. i just get the feeling that they have no idea on what customer service is all about. i have been waiting for a 5 1/2 weeks, knowing that there are endless people infront of me who havent even had theirs yet, yet mine is in production! my guess, no it isnt, ive moved to phase 5 to make it look that way, after all, does it really take 6 days to build a laptop, just build it, not test it or install anything, phase 5 is just building it. ive made 3 desktops over the past 4 years, and to build install and get running, what, 1 or 2 hours? AW are supposed to be experts for god sake.moan over for the minute lol

And that must be the velvet sleeve the lady told me about on the phone . I sent them an e-mail asking why they can't start building it and have it ready for shipping when the damn bags arrive.

 

wow the bag was one of the items i never expected to be on backorder. i wont be surprised now if the next thing they tell you is that they are out of cardboard boxes to ship your laptop in.

 

well exiled that doesnt even sound surprising, they have had all this time to get the chassis in, with no mention of any other shortages then suddenly there is something else.

its a joke I tell ya!

ok crystak., my last post was actually aimted at chris2chris(think thats right) but obviously your reply is just as valid if you recieved the email today(saturday!). so crystak, when did you place your order? are you still in phase 4? im in phase 5 now and have recieved no emails stating anything is out of stock.
i did however recieve an email asking for my feedback on AW CS lol, what are they doing? do they really expect anyone to put anything other than the lowest possible mark? the only thing that is gonna make me think any better of this company, that i had dreamed of owning a computer from for so long, is if i recieve my m15x, in perfect condition, and have absolutely no problems whatsoever with it for a prolonged period of time.

 

Hehe okay thought it was directed at me, anyways, I was surprised I got the e-mail today. This means they either had some server problem or they work weekends now to sort out these orders.

I've ordered mine on 8th March and have an estimated of 11th April.. which is not going to happen ^^.

 

so you ordered after me then? could mean two things i spose, that they are actually out of these sleeve things, having used them up on the orders currently in production or further, or that they are making it up as an excuse to cover up how far behind they are with the orders. i just cant understand why they say your order will be delayed due to such an unimportant thing.

 

ok, monday morning update. spoke to a guy on the phone at AW, different bloke to anytime before.he said it was in production still and it could be 6-10 days, i said its been in there 7 already, he asked when my est ship date was, i said 2-3 weeks ago, he laughed, apologised and said he has now put my order on priority it should get built today or tomorrow now. so, will it? i doubt it. but ill keep you all posted.

 

ive doubled that. ive been in production for the last 14 days.
i was also promised priority.

 

lol, thought that might be the case. i do keep gtting told everything is in stock, unlike some people who are being told the sleeves are out of stock,maybe, just maybe, they have started but have got a massive backlog, i know theres quite a few people who ordered a few weeks before me

 

My M15X has been sent the 4th april. I try to have it wednesday.

OMG just my luck - I phoned them again today and got the same woman as last time and she remembered me >.> . This time I asked for a shipping date as I actually need it urgently for my business trip in May but of course she couldn't give me one but insisted that I should get it by first week of May at the latest. I only hope she's right...

 

you mean to say you ordered yours the day after me and your estimated shipping date is 11th April and you was told today that it now should be the before the first week in may
i would be (oh yeah,ive already been doing that)on the phone every hour to see if i got another CS agent and see if the story changes between them.

Not yet, ive kinda let them get on with the job for the past week, i phoned up today, shes telling me the same, its in production, but with the back order its going to take longer than it should,
Im way next saturday for 3 weeks 2 spain, i told them that, but said i was away for 3 months LOL
And i need it by then, im expectin acall in the next 48 hours,
Also she said she will upgrade my shipping etc etc
I want free stuff....

So just got the m15 today been playing around for 2 hours or so... Just a short summary, looks very good, there is a slight imperfection in the frame but is minuscule (the top part sticks to the down part it leaves a hairline gap on one side). For the rest is perfect built. I tried fastly if there is any issues with overheating and stuff. It seems it has no problems at all. While running the ati thing the temp constantly increased to 85. At 85° the fans high speed kicked in and brought the temp down to 78 or so pretty fast and they remained on while i let the ati tool on. So it sounds good so far. Didn't try any games yet.

 

hi ioaniro, congratulations friend on your new laptop. its a positive sign that there doesnt seem to be any major problems with yours(yet?) and am very happy for you. can you tell me when you ordered please so i can try and work out roughly how far behind i should be? and as usual, if you can get any photos uploaded thatd be awesome.

 

Hey guys, just moved into Phase 6 today !!! YAY !! Did anyone else move up a phase? I think Ill call them tomorrow to get a ship date out of them.

Yep, after that conversation I moved to the pissed off phase.

 

Well my m15x has finally arrived (just typing this on it now) I cant find a thing wrong and trust me I looked.

Just a few things up to now

crysis max settings smooth no probs very playable
Soulstorm perfect max settings

I've had over 5 laptops mostly vaio's but this is the dogs danglies.

Have patience guys I waited two months for it and I can say its worth the wait.

Ordered on 5th of February. Gameplay is amazing no problems after a full day (let it overnight doing stuff). I'll get some pics and more stuff later on since during the week i'm kind of busy .

mt order was placed and i recieved the confirmation email on the 22nd of feb, so that about a week behind you mortis, so im hoping it wont be too long now, ive been told that i should have it next week for definate, but we'll have to wait and see.gald everything is ok with everyone thats recieved theirs, all good news finally!!!

My M15X is always in the hand of DHL, I try to have it tomorow....

 

my order was placed at the end of feb but then cancelled as i was turned down by AW finance due to never being over drawn or ever owing money to anyone (go figure??) seems like these finance companys only want your buisiness if you cant repay and then they make more money out of you.
re ordered on 7th and confirmed on 7th march. emailed for proof of who i was on 10th march due to fraud protection(almost gave up and cancelled again, dont they want my money).confirmed who i was on 10th after sending card proof. bank blocked transaction just in case it was fraud again cash released at last on 10th.
25th march went to phase 5 and have been there ever since.
4th april computer pulled by 200 point check,faulty screen.
7th april new batch of screens delivered. back in production
8th april,the end is in sight (almost)

 

Hi guys, my order (19th Feb) just jumped from Phase 5 (since 25th March) to Phase 9 this morning, so hopefully alot more of you will be too , got an email saying the Smart Bay Battery is on back-order and will be sent later.
