    incidentally, could that be the source of your troubles? that is to say, did the game work before the update/patch marathon?

    i was under the impression he meant driver wise.. not Crysis wise. *shrugs* Ive never had any issues with it..except when I didn't have it patched. ;)

    now when i got my m17, i had no 3dmark preinstalled, they just put the score in a html, anyone get the same?

    Hah. Very tempting, but after this experience with my M9700, I'm not feeling so adventurous o_O

    It may have taken 3 months, but I sent off a M9700 with a busted lcd, and I'll be getting a maxed M17 back. Warranty!

    Yeah my M17 crashes at randomly too at first its just WoW or whatever game im playing and after a couple of mins its the comp itself, any idea why this is happening?

    That just proved that M17 with same CPU would smoke M1730 in 3dmark06, and the m1730 has 8800m GTX SLI, which many of NBR members are asking about.

    After sleep, the sound and graphic stutters. Need restart to fix.

    Is it vista problem? I suspect it's power management of PCI or similar.

    That's a dumb rule.

    Everyday is x'mas to me. I don't go celebrate on 25th, but I dine out every week and spend $60 to $170 for 2 people. That's why I am broke, I think.

    I have 2 M17s, both have this problem. It's fcuking ignoring. Defeat the purpose of sleep function.

    Don't use it. The only thing in there that is any useful is the face recognition, which is fun at first. I didn't even bother to set it up for my second m17.

    Same thing happened with me, it will update soon enough. Also your order number not matching is not a problem. What happens is Alienware assigns the tracking number but this information is not updated untill the shipper picks it up and the package is delivered to a hub or sorting station.

    The face recognition is not worth the time, it's fun at first. It doubles your boot up time.

    The fingerprint app is a separate program, which is not developed by AW, so it's bug free. :)

    AW doesn't offer it, and after a quick check, neither does killernotebook. ergo, it's not available on the m17.

    I have a question...
    When i play WoW and When I play ummm Crysis...the only two games that i have played on my M17...

    The mouse doesn't respond much when I am actually moving either character. If I am moving straight it will respond after about 3 seconds but then, if i make a right or left turn, or merely look to the right or left it will not respond.

    This is with the touchpad mouse by the way, not an external mouse.

    WoW seems to be fine although i dont play with the touchpad :p
