    Man, I'm so ****ing pissed off right now, its been 9 hours since it said it was shipped from fedex to be delivered to my house, and I still haven't gotten it yet. Why couldn't have they chosen Ups for delivery, WHY!?! Whatever, if I doesn't come today, I'm totally going to flip my mind, for the delivery time was 10-15 days, and it already estimated it would be here on the 16th day, not anywhere between the 10-15 days. **** fedex, seriously. Ps: Its 4:00pm and I was notified that it was sent out 7:25am this morning. Yea, they sure like to make me wait, shows me why I never ship with fedex.

    Another note: The place it was at, was only 15 miles away, which I checked on google maps, that it would take about 15 minutes to get here from there.

    By "they," I meant Crucial. Are the sodimms in the M17 200 or 204 pin? Crucial has the 204 pins for $125.

    There are a few reasons for that. They might start from the furthest place, so basically you are going to be the last one to get something delivered. Or like it happen to me a few times, fail to find the place... I always call them 3-4 times the date they are going to deliver it just to make sure they are going to find the house. Even left my phone number in case the driver had problems finding it.

    I'd call andcheck the status. You can always drive to the hub and pick it up if it isn't delivered for whatever reason. But they can contact the driver and give you an eta otherwise ;)

    I was once a proud owner of a m17 a little over 3 weeks. I'm now returning this $1900 beast with a $125 restocking fee. For 2, yes 2 7085u gateways with 1920*1200 screens 1gig 9800gts, 4gig ddr1066 and 320gb 7200 hd. Which were 1085.00 a piece at best buy.

    How can you not give up your m17 for that? :D

    I guess for me, I would have 0 use for 2 desktop replacements, and I'd much rather have the nice build quality of an Alienware over that of Gateway...

    But, to each their own I guess. :) Enjoy your purchase!

    VMware works better for that :p

    And they made it sooooo easier now to install new OS on it. Last time i used it was on V1.5, apparently now they released V6.5 :D

    The only bad thing is that its a bit harder to run benchmarks etc since you cant allow all your system resources to be used on the Virtual machine. But still a great way to test the new OS and see if there are any bugs with your hardware :)

    whot my m17 is not backordered the part got in today im in phase 5 they said should be shipped out by the end of the week.... the rep told me no idea when the part would come in and it came in today how ummmm dissapointing

    yep, the whole purpose of this is because everyone is trying to run high res screens. well..we might as well start testing them resolutions...i think most people only run 1280x1024 when doing 3dmark06, other wise everyone is talking about 1920x1200 for everything else.(people with these screen sizes only)(gaming)

    Reason why we run 3dmark at default settings its because not many people bought 3dmark. Which makes it harder to compare the results since they cant run the benchmark in different resolutions :)

    @ 1920x1200 my bests are 13695 and 13693, @ default settings. i got em the last couple days. i was complaining in another thread cause people were getting 14k-15k+ scores on default, but i'm not sure what res they did them on.

    well i have goodnews for my laptop.
    i just got a Seagate Momentus 320 gb 7200 rpm
    hdd for my laptop....
    so that should be a nice leap in storage.

    so now i have a 320 and 160 in my M17
