If you're still in warranty, prices should be identical to prices at the time of purchase and slightly increased if out of warranty imo.

Just got my m18x r1 yesterday, still new in the box, but I really want the newer components in the R2. Just not sure if the price will justify the extra hassle and $$$. What do you guys think I should do, return the R1 and get the R2?
I'm also waiting on a quote from Allan too, guess I'll have to be more patient. -

On the new M17x R4, if you configure one with just a single HD, will you still receive the mounting brackets and the interposer? Or do we have to order that separately to enjoy a second HD? -

Another way to speed up the response process, you can also save you Dell.com purchase cart and send me the email address linked to that Dell.com account. Therefore I will be able to load your configuration and calculate numbers quicker, send you a quote and go from there.
If you have questions about the configurations, Give me a good time to call you to guide you through the configuration and explain the components. -
Also want to remind everyone that Allan is here on a "live feed" basis. If you post between his "i'm here" and "i'm out for the day" posts, he may not get to you. I'm sure he's flooded with emails and PM's. My best guess is to work with him while he has the little green dot under his avatar.

Thanks guys for your hard work. Also, question most of our EDD lies somewhere around the 2nd half of May. Do you guys think that maybe these machines might ship with Ivy Bridge? Or are we going to be sticking to SB until June like a lot of people are speculating?

Allan, please help me with my problem. i'm planning to order the m14x r2 right after more interesting announcements are made(you know what i mean) and i also want to have huge and helpful discounts because my budget is limited. i know you are just the person who can give me that. the problem is, i'm living in the philippines and my uncle will be the one who will order the laptop using his dell account. i'm supposed to give him the configuration i want and find the discount because he can't do that for me. if i send you the configuration, can you give me some kind of code so that he can apply it by himself? btw, the reason why i ask my uncle to order for me aside from shipping problems is because he will travel here around june so i can receive my laptop right away and also i'm going for the 12 months special financing. we're not financially stable but i want an alienware so please give me great deals. thank you.

I ordered my m17x on April 5th and it sat "In Production" until today. Now it says "Cancelled". I have been given the run around by Dell so much. People telling me they will call me back, and they dont. A sales rep gave me his extension to call for an update, I called every 15 minutes and he would not pick up. I left him 4-5 voicemails but never had my calls returned. One girl told me that they won't have to cancel my order and that she will call me back to let me know what they are going to do, the next day I get a call back from some guy telling me they have to cancel it. Give me a straight answer Dell. That is all I want. Tell me what you are going to do for me, and then DO IT.
I know my problem is that I keep calling customer service and just keep getting people in India who have no idea what is actually going on. Allan, I am giving you a chance to restore my faith in Alienware/Dell. I am going away for a few months starting at the beginning of May and I was hoping that I would have this laptop before I left as it would be my main source of entertainment and communication.

I recently had a Refurbished Asus G73jw which I returned because it still had some problems. Got the Asus G74sx which got stolen from my house along with a bunch of other thingsBut I suppose the goods news from that is once I get the insurance money back probably next week I'm going to get a new Daptap or Lesktop (haven't decided on a good name yet) with the 7970m in it. Can't wait
