This static read-only archive was pulled by NBR forum users between January 20 and January 31, 2022, in an effort to make sure that the valuable technical information that had been posted on the forums is preserved. For current discussions, many NBR forum users moved over to NotebookTalk.net after the shutdown.

    I'm going to add to the fun and speculate (and hope) that Alienware will offer 4k IPS displays for their systems this year. Why? The 880M/880MX will have 8GB's of VRAM. It will probably come with a hefty upgrade price, though. I hope they at least offer it for the Alienware 17 R2 120Hz 3D bundle. :thumbsup:

    I'd also like to go out on an even bigger limb and speculate that Alienware will also offer the Samsung 840 series SSD's in their systems, but I wouldn't bet on this.

    If they offer something significantly better then the m18x r2. I'll buy. But it has to be better in every way. Not this whole oh the screen is less reflective but there is light bleed all over the place or oh you have an extreme cpu but it doesn't work right nonsense
