Sequoia225,
I only received one email from you which contained no account information. As I was not able to match your name or email to an account I sent you an email requesting further information. I never heard from you after that.

There's a lot of interesting comments in here, all I have to say is keep it real and helpful/constructive.
Thanks for joining the NotebookReview.com forum Steve; I'm glad this issue is being acknowledged. If you need any assistance or have questions about the forum, feel free to drop me a private message. That goes for anyone else here too. -
An m9750 is completely different then a m15x. Why do you even post in threads Dealing with m15x's when you do not have an m15x yet alone been through the phase game or experienced their CS on the m15x. ;d -
I KNOW they won't do anything, say tomorrow. But the faster people report, the faster the issue will get resolved. -

Oh..
Putting it mildy alienware's getting slated
Definitely reconcidering ordering from them! -
I think anyone with a concern in the matter should be doing everything possible to make the issue known. If the majority of people looking to purchase notebooks knew about the m15x's heating problems ... alienware would have to fix the issue. If their sales were affected by our voices... they would be losing money. When a company loses money they do what they need to do to start making a profit.
Make people more aware about our issues with Alienware!
I think Chaz's review will be a major step in the right direction. Cnet and other websites obviously will not be aware of the issue as Chaz was. Chaz knows about our problems and issues... and he himself had the issue with his test unit.
A lot of people looking for new notebooks come to this website for reviews.
Let's hope for the best =} But like stone and others have been saying... take what you hear as a grain of salt. Don't buy into everything automatically. -
@Alienware-Steve - It is funny that you would only bring up Sequioas name, and not mine. I have both emails stored on my gmail right now with the emails I sent you. I think my one email was 2 pages long that detailed exactly the trouble I was having. After I did not get a response I sent you another email because I didn't know if you got the first one (I assumed you did since it was to your email and all...) I even gave you my address, and my home number to make 100% sure that you could help me. You didn't and that is why I completely thought you were a fraud, and I'm still not convinced. You pretty much blew me off 100% right there. Hmm I didn't expect this kind of support from a company that I pay $3000 a laptop from.
-
Just called AW and they confirm that steve Lopez is in support. The CS talk to the company director but refuse to comment further. CS say u should never give your private details in any forum other than their own.
Well Steve at least i know u are real> But I would love if u could tell me the person who has nickname "Ring leader" . PM me. -
Well... He could just be someone who worked with Steve before and is copying his name to trick people on this forum. (Just another scenario :O)
-
-
The alienware employess always use "alienware ...." not "alienware-....."
FAKE -
Travis - That is not very good proof of anything... IF he is real, he could have just switched it up on here. We will see though. Apparently he is real. But someone could have just been like (I've worked with Steve Lopez, let me make a fake account on NBR and confuse people.)
-
This is a HUGE lie. Or this guy is crazy or REALLY bad @ his job.
I sent this guy a very long email (first of 2) with extremely detailed info on my orders (all 3 of them) for 9750s.
I STILL have these emails sent in mid December.
I sent another email a few days later.
I have NO response from either.
I PMd this guy (responded to his inital and ONLY PM to me)
2 times saying I havent heard back from him. I NEVER heard back at all and gave him WAY too much info if you ask me.
Couldnt tie me or my email to 3 different alienware accounts?!? then this guy at the least is very BAD at his job.
BUT I THINK FRAUD!!! I had other later help from AW and none of it was ever from this guy. NO ONE ELSE HAD ISSUES TYING ME TO ACCOUNT INFO -
Official: He is a liar, and is fake. You may as well ban that account Chaz. If Sequoia has the emails, then obviously this rep. is a liar if he is even a rep. This is BS. May as well close this thread.

I agree, this thread is no longer a forum to air problems with the m15x,
its merely spouting about the integrity of someone who signed up for a free account - pointless. -
There is one way to prove it... PM me a 15-25% discount code and I'll testify if it worked or not
. Other than that I want my free pizza
-
Steve,
If u are representing AW as in your thread title: Pls get more active. If not u are damaging your company reputation.
Just my personal opinion. -
ONCE AGAIN, I HAVE ONE INITIAL PM. still have it.
I sent 2 emails and later 2 PMs. emails had plenty of info
about my accounts (all 3 of them).
I never heard from this guy again. just looked through email to check again for missed email.
I rarely toss emails and have email going back to 98. (yes its a big file)
they are all very orgainzed too. -
When Chaz comes back online hopefully he will see this.
-
Maybe Sequoia225 Is The Imposter And He's Actually Apart Of 'alienware Cancellation, Sager Recommendation Department' From Sager!
... -
truly, if he IS from Alienware, then my desire to purchase from them in the future is WAY LESS.
He could have responded to me PM (which I have deleted none of those either) in Jan or Feb when this issue of his integrity came up before. -
but at least you are questioning things! -
Lethal Lottery Notebook Betrayer
lol he has 3 posts, what a joke.
-
Hehe we got him pinned Sequoia - It is good that we are still around here, eh?

the Philip Glass music. yep. that was 9750 #1 of 3.
Yes Stone825. if hes real, lots of explaining needed. -
Oh, we can get attention drawn to this easily lol. Everyone just report his posts and a mod will see this.
Yea seriously, he blew both of us off...
@Chaz - I hope you haven't been played too. I'm sure you know the most about whether he is actually real or not. Well maybe Seq and I do, but we will see. Hehe all users on here bow down to Seq and I from saving you guys from being played
Still not confirmed whether he is real, but I have a strong suspicion he isn't. -
yomamasfavourite Notebook Evangelist
You can't really say that he (him specifically) is bringing alienware's reputation down, From most of the posts in other threads it seems they don't have much of one anyway ( from a customer service point of view)
-
He might be real I mean I look at his sig and he joined back in 05 and this is his first post. Maybe he would just read the posts and PM people. Even if he is real what is to say that he will help? I've talked to regular people and spoken to the Roswell crew many times(In fact I call and tell them my name and they already know my customer #) who is to say this dude will help us. No one has been able to help yet so to me it doesn't matter if he works for AW or not I can pretty much guarantee that he won't help.

Steve, it's good to see that Alienware are at least trying to show people that they are taking care of the issue. It would also be nice to know that no further laptops will be shipped in the US and the UK until this overheating problems is fixed because otherwise we're just starting from scratch.
I'm sure you've had a lot of cancellations over the past days and even though the number of new orders may outnumber the cancelled ones, you should forward this critical problem to your superiors, whatever the hierarchy is in such a company as it is a serios problem.
Having paid £2k for a notebook which I'm expecting in April me amongst other people wouldn't be happy if it still had the problems that the first notebooks shipped in January have as such a long time frame was available to find a fix, either case re-design, thermal paste application etc. -
I hope that Alienware really feels this hit. -

Just looking at this ( I know i'm a bit new to all this so bear with me)
I know that "steve" blowing you off is a bit ***ty and i totally agree with you - I'd be pi**ed spending that much and geeting anything other than 1st class service, but if you think about it, isn't him not emailing you back kind of in like with alienware's Odd cs policy.
Regardless its still not acceptable, alienware need to cop on abit. -
You two just seem like your around to bash Alienware. Funny thing is, your not even ordering an m15x so get the heck out of the AW forums unless you can contribute in a positive way. Thats my opionion.
-
@Yomama - I do not really understand what you are saying. He contacted us first, and we tried to get help but then he was just like "I don't exist anymore suckas" lol.
@Silkex - You haven't been on the AW forums enough to even know close to what I know. Please do not insult me like that. I have actually helped countless people with their AW purchases. I love my M9750, only a few minor problems but other than that it has been great so far. I like the 17", but the 15" overheating and people from TS/CS blowing me off is a bit ridiculous.
Please man. You have to be kidding me... Do you see that SLi guide I wrote? -
Stone and seq, nothing I said in that statement was to protect Alienware. I've been on the forums for enough time to see all the issues and that they're not taking enough measures. I don't see what the problem is.
-
Sorry about that. I wasn't sure exactly what you were saying. I'm at fault there. Sorry I re-read it over.
Wait... I didn't want him to engage in a day to day conversation. He told me to email him my account info so he could help, and he did nothing... -
Im not trying to insult anyone, I just dont find it very constructive when both of you cant really prove that he is fake. Your going on your own thoughts and insulting someone that could very well be the real deal, and as I said, I will know for sure if he is real when I have AW take a look at this thread.
Also reguarding Steve, companies have procedures and policies. They, also from a management perspective have to first discover the problem and admit that such problem is there. From what Steve first wrote about this issue, is prolly the best way he could inform everyone of this issue. I'm sure there are people out there that do not have problems with their m15x, and with this in mind he totally went about posting in the right way. -
I was trying to contribute in a positive way. What I was trying to say is that since Seq and I both were contacted, then when we tried to actually send him out info we were blown off, we think that he is a fake person just pretending to be a legitimate person.
I do not know if he is real/fake, but if he is real he is pretty bad. -
yomamasfavourite Notebook Evangelist
To be honest with you it was just a poor joke (sorry)
For the record as soon as its possible to place an order for the m17x, i'll be top of the queue (need computer for mathematical modelling/graphics m15x wouldn't really b practicle) as I will be handing over a lot of money I'd like to know what i'm getting into and what other people think about them. -
@Crystak, no worries, I thought maybe u didnt see all our posts.
@Silkex, yeah, bad form. I have been helping people on this board since at least 2004 (Dell stuff mostly before Alienware starting last summer). I consider myself a decent contributer to these forums. I bought 3 9750s and was earlier always DEFENDING Alienware against people pushing Sager and stuff.
I have given up on 9750s but have been awaiting the m17x for consideration and considering the m15x. Not that I need to explain myself to you! So you want to know what I think of ur opinion?
Im trying to HELP people. I gave this guy info I later regretted sharing. -
HE PMD ME FIRST ASKING FOR INFO. -
If this is the case, why not just go directly to AW instead of some guy posting on these forums? Now, if he is real.. I apreciate that Steve has came and atleast ackknowledged the posibility of an issue here. That makes us aware as consumers know that AW is indeed listening.
-
@ Silkex, I WAS dealing with AW directly. 2 different reps. But they were taking a LONG time to get back to me - hence my complaining here, then "Steve" contacted me from here and asked to intervene and wanted my info to do that with.
What he just said above in this thread about my email to him after he contacted me and him responding is COMPLETELY false. -
.....so if hes real (which I dont claim to KNOW for sure), then hes completely incompetent esp to DEFEND himself about my dealings with him saying I sent him an email with no account info. If he got an email from me - which he claims, it HAD account info on 3 different computers - different numbers.
But keep in mind, all the while, I was also talking w Alienware directly. -
@Silkex - I went to Alienware directly and it took me sending the laptop back 3 times, having the GPU replaced 5 times I think, the motherboard once, and the heatsink once (was going to do twice but I was done after that). My point is that usually when you contact them directly you are sent to a TS agent who has NO CONTROL of what happens until you FINALLY get to a critical issues agent which takes awhile.
-
Stone isn't here to bash Alienware. He's here to educate people about his issue. I agree with stone.... This guy shouldn't be trusted 100% until he has some proof. Give us an alienware 800 # with your extension and prove you are who you are.......
Even so, If you are working @ alienware... can you explain to us your system testing process? Not being able to pinpoint an overheating problem is a bit pathetic. You should fix this issue and give people refunds without charging them a 15% restocking fee. -
whoa this thread blew up. This is just a recommendation but why don't we leave the speculation to Chaz who I am sure can identify who he is. He can easily see the email that the account was registered under as well as possibly ask for the extension number that some were requesting. I know if I was a representative I would NEVER give that number out on a forum where I would get blown up every 30 seconds haha. Seriously, if he is a real representative it will reveal in time. But we are really just perpetuating a very long thread with speculation at this point. Let's surrender it to the powers that be

whats the point of a forum if not to get everyones input and experience?
