hello, im using your 9.1 drivers right now, Sleep takes a hell of a long time longer than usual, not alot of performance difference and just for piece of mind would a system restore undo all of what i did with driver sweeper and all that?

yes it would but it would be easier to reinstall a differnt driver
try running 9.2 installer off the thread in my sig it should install without a clean install :D

Performance wise, you should have gains in terms of gaming with the newer releases, otherwise just install a newer driver like Mr Moo mentioned with 9.2. Since I don't have the system any longer, it makes nodding a bit more challenging. Sadly, this thread will likely die :( But, hopefully I can get the hang of it and release 9.3. Guess I gotta wait and see. How you liking the rig? :D

Im loving the rig i play Left 4 dead, empire total war and dowII all at 1920x1200 on the highest settings with only lag when the big battles come up (ETW) other than that the 9.1 drivers are great but i use it in between classes so the sleep hanging is kind of a pain... is there any Vista fix or is that the display driver or CCC? i mean i can live with it but its slightly annoying

Also sorry for double posting but if i wanted to revert to the AW drivers without having to system restore would a "clean install" work of the drivers on my hive? If so then i pose another question do i HAVE to clean install them could i just run AW's setup?

Another sidenote is if i do either option, will the AW CCC still install...

You can go with "just install AW driver" but I would use the clean way *safety first* :p

I have toruble on W7 to chance drivers but not on Vista so don't be afraid of troubles (normaly you shoudn't have some)

    Greetings

What's the difference if i download mobility modder and just click & go through the proccess and install the drivers vs your drivers?

What i mean is, should my own option work or am i missing key features then?

Just trying to understand if im actually using "ok" drivers when modded them myself without changing any inf files.

my 9.2 drivers are just mob modded
E-wrecked driver a speciall modified for our system and can offer a decent performance boost. They are special :D

regular mob modded drivers are fine to use. E-wrecked offer a little extra bang.

    Lord nor
you need to do a clean install because if you have 9.2 installed, when you run the setup it will say the driver is a older driver and wont let it install. you should just do a clean install

also why do you want AW driver there extremely old and the newer ones offer better performance

Also, these drivers scale fullscreen with all resolutions instead of letterboxing. If you mobmod, then it won't scale.

Lord, just uninstall and sweep. Forget bout the AW driver tho :p

NO! They are good enought for the "not W7 compatible games" and give realy sweet 3DMark06 scores ... I dualboot with Vista (AW driver) and W7 W7 Beta driver ... btw ... as far as I know the W7 beta driver is a "better" 8.12 ... why don't they make the 9.1/9.2 "as good" as the 8.12?

    Greetings
    Julian

Im thinking about downloading new drivers and things from my mac and then transfer them to my m17 when it gets in. The only reason is for the internet speed out here is slow as crap. So I was wondering maybe I should start dling drivers and such and then transfer them to my m17, is this a good idea?

Which chipset CooL? BTW - gonna mod 9.4 this evening.. You should have fullscreen scaling enabled this time. Looks like ATI has migrated back to the previous installation formats, not those BS 9.2 & 9.3 formats. :)

    The m17 chipset drivers ? :p

AW uses 9.0.0.1008 that are dated May 01 2008 so Intel probably released new ones (hopefully) sadly cant find them :p
