    Here's the problem... I'm going to recieve to processor before the M17x... yeahhh, and I don't have any laptop's with a chipset that will support the X9300... there was only 2 left and you don't find prices like that often

    Yes I know but I really need my laptop soon, and I can't wait the extra 4-6 weeks to purchase it... that's how long it would take me to raise the extra funds... and believe me I know warranties are a great thing, I've returned numerous things to Bestbuy in the past, it was a godsend to have the warranty

    Butter, this might sound strange, but I HIGHLY suggest you send that proc to someon here that is trustworthy that will stress if for you.

    I believe shirley has a 3 day DOA policy so you might want to do that.

    Seriously, send it to mandrake or something to make sure.

    Isn't it just 2 screws to remove the back panel?

    I removed everything down to the cpu, just didn't disassemble the lcd....

    Getting to those two screws is the difficult part. The whole top part of the system has to be disassembled.

    He sells them for the same amount or a little more sometimes, but he does stress testing on them... and he is an NBR member which means something at least to me... as far as it being a sample or not I do not know I am talking to him right now

    Well I was refunded for my purchase on ebay... and It said they weren't ES samples... so now I have to decide what to do... What exactly is the OEM? I know ES are test samples but...
