very good point vicious some one will have to try anti glare clear sheet on it![]()

Good point there too Quad. A coating or a different manufacturing process might even achieve the best of both worlds.
-
but then again, if you could go to a glass company and have them apply something to the unit to assist in the anti-glare that would be tops. -
i prefer glare 2
-
My biggest complaint about the m17x is it's HUGE glare. Anyone see this pic yet from Mr.Bicep who got one of the first m17x's?

I hope it looks better on...
Edit: Wow you guys are fast to comment -
Well yeah, from that angle it's gonna be a mirror.
-
i don't play games out side because its usually 100 F i hate the heat .......
so glare is ok by me -
-
well to be fair it does have a flash going off on it ....

This video gives you the best idea of what to expect . Scroll to 2:15 and pause it
you will see they are filming the guys face off the reflection

And the M980NU is just the same about reflection lol.
BTW i was expecting more brightness from the M980NU as it have dual bulb -
so does the m17x ....
-
-
Is it just me or does that video make the m17x look really thick?
-
-
its safe to asume that the sager 9850 will overclock alot nicer than the M17x..
we have to wait n see but traditionaly alienware leave little to no overclocking space in their thermal designs while Clevo/sager have more enthusists margins.
.. if i could get both at the same price i would prob get the Alienware..
unluckly for me the Alienware Australia store has horible prices. -
-
right now the only "comfirmed" OC ability for the AW is with the X quad proc.
not sure of numbers, but BIG's look to be correct. -
yup i qouted that from my source a while ago the quad will be able to be clocked to 3.0 just like the clevo and the x9100 to 3/57 ghz just like the Clevo
so please look it up before saying any thing.i understand traditionally AW does not allow it but there are special cases
-
lol Moo...be nice.
the search function is disabled.... -
"When we let freedom ring, when we let it ring from every village and every hamlet, from every state and every city, we will be able to speed up that day when all of God's children, Sager owners and Alienware owners, Clevo and Dell, HP and Toshiba, will be able to join hands and sing"

ok everything seems right with the res. if not let me know
i guess i'll stay with my sager then.
here is the performance difference 1920*1200 vs 1920*1080
1920*1200
1920*1080
1680*1050 OVERCLOCKED(sorry i don't have a stocked one.)
1024*768 OVERCLOCKED(again i don't have a stocked one i think)
so the performance difference isn't hugh between the first two. but it will look different on the screen
i had to throw up something. i had to
i'll start to use my sager more on benchmarks cause i need more numbers. -
Sort of off-topic... but is there a reason why dmc4 is often benchmarked to demonstrate?
-
i don't understand it either. 3dmark is used by much more people, so it's more comparable.
-
dondadah88 Notebook Nobel Laureate
well 3dmark06 depends on your cpu and dmc4 is on your gpu. i compared them to show you how the gpu's will run on the different res. (and it's shorter. otherwise i would of done farcry2 right now.)

You know this Thread sounded ok at frist. It a Flame ware. I am with Both Sugar and Alienware. I can not go which is better or worse. I go to both fourms to talk. I dont go I have this and it faster then that.
What I will Say both groups Stop acting like toddlers Just out of Diapers. Which give Mine better then Yours hahaha. Basicly acting like a baby.
Why not setup a Fourm so it brings the fighting out side or Notebookreview. Or out side of Alienware and Sugar fourms.
I own both system I will not go which is better then Which.
But being stupid on both side is a problem. -
dondadah88 Notebook Nobel Laureate
i'm also trying to decide on which is better but with the specs being the same you have to start with the cons to get somewhere.

I'm closing this thread since much of it is off-topic and a flame war; start another one if you want, but first read the following:
1. No retaliatory comments of any kind; there is a difference between a debate and an argument.
2. This is important - I do not want to see any one-liner posts or stupid comments. The NotebookReview.com Community Board is NOT an IM chatroom, therefore do not post any IM-like messages. The fictional comment below serves as an example:
3. Stay on-topic. This goes along with item #2.
