    MUHA!

I have the information of the evel^^

As I made the germans believe in the 9.1 they said:

There is a bug so you can use AF no more! This is why the FPS Rate jumps^^ (@ Crysis)

I am not sure if this is ture or not^^ But it would be a reason^^

I'll just turn off AF and run the benchmark again ... if the fps doesn't increase ... I know it's ture ... :(

    Greetings
    Julian

Edit: I never used AF @ Crysis so there argument is crap^^

Quite interessting ... look at this!
I thought AA would need more performance ...

Yeah, the performance increases are definitely noticeable. I'm not "jumping or shaking" anymore in FarCry 2.

Thimik, how's that RAM treating you?

lol.. I have been having some minor issues. I believe they're caused by the 9.1 Driver. I reverted back to my original driver that came with the machine and it cleared up some problems.. I'm gonna update to 8.10 where I can OC the GPUs as well.. Then, gonna test to see if there's still any issues. The problem I'm having is Crossfire dropping connection mid-run in 3dmark. I've NEVER had that happen before, so I can only assume it's the 9.1 driver. As a matter of fact, I'm gonna do a fresh install of Vista here in about 10 minutes, and hope that if I start from scratch the problem will be resolved. Be back when Vista is fresh! :D

Getting the dreaded error 132 on WoW with these drivers. I may roll back to the 8.12 until Blizzard figures out what's happening.

I wasn't doubting the benefits of a driver update. I very well knew it was to bring some more radness to my M17.

I just love it more now!

Personally, I'm not too fond of the 9.1 Cats. I'm glad they're working well for everyone, but I am gonna rollback to the Hotfix with Multi-core support.. Will post it for download after I install it and test it. But, just cause I don't like em doesn't mean y'all cant! :)

While they do offer substantial gains in newer games, also fix the Crossfire issues with some.. and I gained performance in FC2 as well as less chopiness.. when I run 3dmark it dropps my Crossfire connection. I'm not sure if it's this new CPU - or if while installing the CPU I may have bumped the crossfire connector, and jiggled it loose.. Not sure what the problem is. But, I'm gonna fresh install Vista - I think with all the testing and driver swapping I may have screwed something up unintentionally. I really don't know. In any case, I'm gonna fresh install..and start from scratch - not a big deal just did that the other day anyhow. So, I'm gonna troubleshoot from there. And when the 8.12 w/ Hotfix works well..then I'll throw 9.1 on and see if it's resolved. If so, then I'll give 9.1 my personal stamp of approval. It seems to be working great for everyone, and it works fine for me.. but not being able to bench 3dmark is like not being able to breathe! :p

    Gone to fresh install..

I still get less of a 3D Mark 06 score with these drivers compared to the latest stock ones on AW's website. (about 300-400 marks less)

"are you gaming, or are you still benchmarking?" :D

i wouldn't fuss over 400 points in 3dmark if my FPS in games is up by 100% ;)

Well, playing ut3 I get more 'studder' or choppyness in DM-HeatRay. The same map I do all my framerate testing with different drivers. I also get approx 7 less fps.

I saw someone else say UT3 suffered with 9.1 - Maybe it's a common issue. I'm not saying these are any better than stock AW drivers at benchmarking.. As I've said numerous times before, older drivers are better for DX9 benchmarking.. Seeing as newer games use DX10 - Newer drivers are better for DX10 processing. So, bench with older drivers..game with newer. :) You'll never find a driver, well..almost never.. that performs Excellent in both benching and gaming. That's why folks typically have different sets of drivers depending on what they need at the time. I'll be benching with 8.10 - and gaming with 8.12 unless this fresh install fixes my problems with 9.1 - Ok..back to installing new programs.

Ok, well..fresh install of Vista - Used AW's drivers to benchmark; I think Crossfire is resolved after reseating the cable, and the fresh install. Here's my 3dmark @ 3.19GHz with AW's driver:
    http://service.futuremark.com/compare?3dm06=9845860

Now, gonna install 8.10 - then 8.12 w/hotfix, then 9.1. Let's see if anything changes.

AW's are definately outdated.. I just ran with the 8.10 drivers - it performed decent. New 3dmark in my sig. And I am looking to surpass John..it took him a while to figure it out with his rig, it will take me a bit of time with mine. Really though, I'm more interested in breaking K|N's record on 3dmark06 - They posted 16,520 & I am not too far off. I spoke with John on the phone for about 2 hours last night, he gave me some insight into working with these quad-core setups. Soooo...new score, 16,283 :D

Hey there Mr. Moo. I have the same problems with Fallout 3. I have a retail copy. Sometimes certain textures, i.e. the ones on your wrist computer, will be all screwed up, along with some in-game textures. The problem I have most of the time will be that I'll be running just fine (60fps), then after accessing my wrist computer thing, my fps will drop to 20ish. I have to reboot to get rid of this. Got so sick of it that I just uninstalled the game.

ALSO, I never lost my save when I updated. Try manually loading one of your old saves. That's all I had to do.

@E-Wrecked: Nice price on that quad. I've been watching them on Ebay, cheapest non-OEM is around $650. Nice find. Were you able to get good money for your X9100, or did you hold on to it?

for now i am back to 8.12 also

9.1 was hanging up on some things like freezing the screen and needed a reboot. 8.12 is perfect except that the performance in some games was a bit better with 9.1.

    Have you tryed Crysis?
I had a good increase at all resolutions with 9.1 at DX10 and 64bit Mode.

Now to my problem! When I want to set the "resize options" ist chances back to Centred ... means ... when I play a game at 1280x800 it uses only a part of the screen^^ 1280x800 Pixels

When I chance it (or at least try to^^) as on the screenshot and klick Apply I get a black screen for one to two seconds and after that "Centred" is klicked again :(

The perfomrnance boost is that High so that I can play Crysis @ 1440x900^^ nearly everything maxed out ... (I don't need relay mutch fps to enjoy a game  )

    Thx for youre help!

Have not been able to get E modded driver's (only because Verizon Internet keeps dropping this whole week), but I have noticed that the 9.1 CCC non E modded seems to scale my games to full screen no matter what resolution they are.
