This static read-only archive was pulled by NBR forum users between January 20 and January 31, 2022, in an effort to make sure that the valuable technical information that had been posted on the forums is preserved. For current discussions, many NBR forum users moved over to NotebookTalk.net after the shutdown.

    insurance is a good point.
    i asked about putting it on my house insurance and they quoated £45/year including world wide travel.
    only problem is if it goes wrong or gets nicked the last thing i want is my home insurance to go up.

    Yeah MrDJ, I think we spoke to the same french accent guy, the new one because I just got an e-mail with subject:

    "cst called for os update"

    At first I was a bit confused as I didn't 'update' my operating system :D - but then I figured out it means order status.

    Well, I didn't get these e-mails when I talked to that woman so it must be a new guy as he's respecting the protocol :p.

    just got off playing some crysis, are you there yet?./.

    I think I should get a carry case with CLEVO on in massive letter,
    no CHav is going to have a clue what that is lol, so is likely to let me keep it :)

    Why do I not see any angry exchanges with inept customer service call centre personnel today?
